  1. I am using a distillation kit to re-distill a neutral grain spirit with various botanical bills to test small batches of gin flavors. I was going to use 100 proof gain spirit for distillation and then cut it with water to bring down the ABV. 1. Is this be best process for small test batches? 2. What is the best type of water to use? Thanks!
  2. Hey there, So I recently purchased a 1000 mL master distillation kit from Pellet Lab to start testing small batches of re distilled spirits with botanicals. I have various botanical bills already laid out, but the amounts for these test batches is where I am a little stumped. Anyone have a good idea what's an appropriate amount of juniper berries for a small batch like this? Thanks so much! Alex

  4. Roberto, At your distillery are you in need of an Assistant distiller or any help at all? Like I mentioned before I am looking to get any and all hands on experience that I can that would help me further my knowledge of distilling? I am huge supporter of local craft goods of all caliber and am willing to help in any way I can. ALex Alex
  5. Hello, I am new to distilling am looking to learn all that I can about it. Outside of my own research I have not found much luck for affordable classes right now in my area or outside. Are there any home distillers or small craft distillers out there who would be willing to let me tag a long for a day or two and begin leaning the process? Thanks! Alex
  6. Hello! My name is Alex Peri. I sent in an application for this position yesterday. I did not receive any sort of confirmation that it was received and just wanted to check to make sure that it was. Thank you very much! Cheers, Alex
  7. Hello! My name is Alex. I am new the to forum and to the world of distilling. I am a 15 year food service and hospitality workerwho is planning on transitioning into distilling gin as my profession. I am currently researching all I can on beginning this journey and am looking to get as much hands on experiences with distilling as I can. I've reached out to ADI, Moonshine University, and several other places that offer workshops and courses on distilling, but for the money it is hard to say which one worth the time, travel, and expense. Any suggestions? I have many other questions and thoughts pertaining to building my business from the ground up, recipes, selecting botanicals, marketing, etc etc, but all that will come. I am very excited to have joined these forums and look forward to learning so much more from all of you. Thanks so much!
