  1. We have been using square for 3 years, works great, good reports, works offline. We tried Shop keep but it was to sensitive to our rural internet service and constantly crashed.
  2. I have had success with both gin and whiskey using fresh hops loaded into our gin basket. I think we get more genuine hop flavor and the level is easier to control. Good luck!
  3. Try slowing down your distillation, and make sure your return is unobstructed. Good luck!
  4. I just reread sorry my mind was on proof, age statement they did not have a problem with being left as a Aged___
  5. Gretchen, We had to have proof and percent on the label for approval but since that is a part of the label you can change without resubmitting we where comfortable with having our labels printed with a blank space for that information. The TTB is mainly concerned with label accuracy and not so much if it is printed or hand written. hope that helps.
  6. Hi Amy! From my understanding of Colorado law that would be outside of the scope of your license. The CO Distillers Guild has talked about this and it may be addressed with the state legislator at some point. Sounds like the shop is coming along and it looks great! The Distillers Guild will be having a membership drive in January and I will hit you guys up for membership. I will be in Durango for Snowdown and will definitely be in for a cocktail! Cheers, P.T.
  7. We use Distillery Solutions and while they are not cheap they are an indispensable part of our business, the accuracy, TTB tracking, inventory management, order management, ability to follow back every thing we do, all of it is worth every penny and then some! Cheers, P.T.
  8. I have been doing this for a few years and love the results give me a call if you want some details on our process. (My whiskey is more a single distillery multi malt) Cheers, P.T. 719 239 0222
  9. We also run every thing off electricity so it really hasn't impacted our electric bill in any significant way. I believe that the phone charging app that all the Tesla owners seem to have lets them dial back the amount of juice that their car sucks. We see about 3-4 cars a week that will generate 300-500 a week is sales. Cheers, P.T.
  10. I second James, it only costs a few bucks and they always buy something, often time a case or two. So really a no brainer. How cool would it be to have a nationwide EV route distillery to distillery! Cheers, P.T.
  11. Up here our barrels dry out pretty much immediately, I have had good success using steam initially then hot water. Some of them have seemed almost unsaveable sieves and turned out fine. Cheers, P.T.
  12. We have had one for almost a year now and it has been great for business. I think the overall cost was about 3500.00, we are now looking into putting in a super charger with two plugs. Cheers, P.T.
  13. Perhaps I was a bit to esoteric in the original post I was referring to Templeton sourcing whiskey and then adding engineered flavoring compounds. Cheers, P.T.
  14. I hate to be that guy but this is in the news so I am going to bring it up. What is the bigger deal sourcing your whiskey or adding flavoring to it? Seems both are a bit shady. Flame on P.T.
  15. How about a little Monday photo diversion... I was lucky enough to get out on the river some over the last month, Pearl checking out... The Bald Eagle that picked this fish out of the river right next to us! I went to Paonia and picked some fresh organic cascade hops a few weeks ago for a couple of fun projects that I am working on! OSHA approved? We finally got to the point where self distribution was to much so this month we officially have a Colorado Distributor! Enjoy the end of summer! Cheers, P.T.
