  7. Hey all, Just making aquaintance. I'm throwing around the idea of starting a small craft distillery here in Gig Harbor, WA. The wife and I spent some years in the bar and restaurant industry in Hawaii. She's been in all aspects including a successful position as a liquor sales rep. I have since become a journeyman welder and enjoy building/fabricating. I also dabble in agriculture. Now seems to be a good time to get into distilling here in Washington, with some recently changing laws. This seems to be a great forum community to be part of, so I look forward to conversing with you all. If all goes well, Mahealani Distillery will start to take shape sooner than later. With Mahealani being my wife's middle name and meaning "full moon," we found it a good fit for a distillery. -George
