Does anyone have any experience with UV printing on bottles? I've been looking for a workable solution to get to what I'm aiming for (something along the style of a Grey Goose bottle) but screen printing is way too costly for more than a couple colors. In my search for a solution, I stumbled across UV printers that can essentially do full color printing right on and all the way around the bottle. Think, your office laser printer but for glass cylinders! The machines have come down significantly in price over the past few years. I've calculated that it would pay for itself after only around 5k bottles when compared with outsourced screen printing and still provide much more elaborate options for the design. However, I'm concerned about real-world results, not all the magical wonders the manufacturers are advertising. I'm also concerned about the durability of the art once the bottles are in a case. Will it rub or scratch off? Do the colors fade? All the manufacturers claim you can put the bottles in a case immediately after printing and the ink will be fine, but I'm looking for some real-world experiences. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looking around at sourcing some new T-Tops with 22.5 synthetic shank. We got some quotes back from a local supplier that seemed a little high so I figured I would take it to the forum to see what you guys think. They are looking at 56 cents per unit for a wood top and 24 cents for plastic for an order of 10,000. I have seen some cheaper on the west coast, but shipping costs kill any cost-saving to get it here on the East Coast. Anyone have leads on wholesalers in the Mid-Atlantic region?

New Here- Looking for Large Distillers for Vodka

Good morning all. It's nice to have finally found these forums.I think you guys are going to be a great resource. My partner and I have recently secured funding and started a business and we would like to have our own brand of Vodka. In time we would like to distill ourselves, but to get the ball rolling our plan is to work with a Distiller here in the US. We know of only a handful of large distilleries.Can any of you make any suggestions who else we might want to research? Bottle design and production - Do you know of anyone that you would reccomend? The design is not going to be simple and standard. One last thing, thats always bugged me... If there are so many distillers here in the US and Vodka is one of the less complicated spirits to produce, then why do so many companies go to eastern Europe? Is it because they have so much more experience making Vodka? Is it the cost? Is it the the availability of resources? Thanks for the help, look forward to hearing from you.
