  3. My wife and I recently had our farm distillery in New York acquired by a group out of state. Prior to the acquisition, we were producing (3) types of vodkas, a Premium vodka, Raspberry Vodka, and Vanilla Vodka. Our most popular product was Disco Lemonade, a raspberry based canned cocktail that caught fire in the northeast. We used a very small equipment set-up to get started in our business in an 800 sq. ft. space in the back of a warehouse with no tasting room. At this point, I am offering my expertise as a consultant to smaller distilleries and start ups in equipment selection, production processes, mash bill formulation, product development, and financing considerations. Please email me at ben@lifeofreilley.net if I can be of any assistance either formally or just to book an informal call to discuss your project. Cheers and thank you, Ben Reilley Life of Reilley

  9. The 2015 Craft Distilling Expo provided a focus for one of the UK’s fastest growing markets. Visitors discovered new trends, technologies and tastes, as well as the progress and scope for development in a fertile industry. As the industry has grown, the main focus has been on production techniques and flavour trends. However, one subject that has been neglected is how to efficiently process waste material. Drawing on 80 years of experience in separation technology, Russell Finex have engineered the Russell Liquid Solid Separator™. The perfect solution to processing spent grain and mash, this innovative machine is drawing attention from those looking to optimise this important part of their process. "This is a complete game changer for the industry. It's a highly effective separator for handling spent grains. It's a must have for every distillery wanting to improve profitability." - Bill Owens, Founder & President of the American Distilling Institute comments on the Russell Liquid Solid Separator™. Find out more about new developments in the craft distilling industry at Craft Distillers Expo review or watch a video of Russell Liquid Solid Separator processing spent distillers grains.

  11. Hello everyone! I'm Ed and i joined back in 2012. I'm like so many other newbies who have been quietly stalking the progress and post of others. (Yes i'm watching you... through windows 7). I have been closely monitoring others who have pursued their dream and appear to be successful. Reviewing there activities through interviews, forums, social-media, and their website I hope I've learned from their success and mistakes. I have been collecting equipment and have most of what I need to start-up a 200 gallon still and packaging on a budget. I am looking to network with others in the state and connect with someone else who shares my passion. I have a strong hands-on technical background and would like to find someone with more business knowledge to round out the team. Thanks to all of the more experienced members for posting and providing beneficial information, Ed
