  5. Doc Porter’s Distillery is a family run grain-to-glass distillery in Charlotte, NC. We have been in operation for 3 years and currently make vodka, gin, bourbon and rye whiskey. We are hiring a full-time Head Distiller to join our team and manage day-to-day production and add to the product line.   10. ABOUT Cayman Spirits Company is a full production distillery in The Cayman Islands. Specializing in Rum, Vodka and Liquors, we operate a 1000 gallon washhouse and fermenter batch size with wash and spirit distillations running every day Monday through Saturday. POSITION We are currently looking for someone to fill a position that will work on all facets of our spirits production from wash production and distilling operations to warehousing and packaging in addition to palate development. Candidates MUST be serious about safety, quality, and attention to detail. Under general supervision of our Lead Distiller, you will bring your love of the craft to the thoughtful production of our amazing portfolio of spirits. You will also support distillery production planning and bring the skills and experiences to support the continued optimization of our distillery operation. The person who lands this gig will not only produce our off-centered world class spirits, but will also handle full operations through to packaging. You should care deeply about safety, not just meeting standards but striving to raise the bar each and every day. As our Distiller you will embrace spirit education for Dogfish coworkers and guests and will support its delivery, understanding that information breeds enthusiasm and oftentimes translates to sales! What You Need To Land This Gig: The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of progressive commercial spirits distillation experience. A Science or Engineering major will be a serious plus! You’ll need to have an understanding of distilling and brewing science and a working knowledge of the equipment and systems that go along with it with an emphasis on practical brewing/distilling techniques aimed at quality, consistency and flavor. Having a stellar track record of formulating and producing world class spirits and beverages also won’t hurt. Solid computer skills must also be in your tool chest as well. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, safety and efficiency, and be someone that the team can depend on. A passion for craft beer and spirits, Dogfish, and off-centeredness is pretty important to us This is no desk job so you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet and walking throughout the course of the entire shift.
