Our equipment supplier just sent us a number of barbed hose fittings, a number of which (but not all) are rough/pitted on the inside. I've never seen anything like this and am concerned that they are not food grade/they won't be able to be properly cleaned and sanitized. Some of the fittings are clearly used, and I'm not sure if the pitting is from use or if they were manufactured that way. Has anyone run into this issue before?

I'm looking for a piece that we only have one of, but need to buy about five more. Attached is a picture, but basically it is so we can incorporate a filter we use that is 1"OD 3/4"ID into our new system of using 1.5" hose with triclamp fittings. I have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find them! If anyone knows where I could find more it'd be much appreciated!

We're using 2" Glidetech Butyl hoses for transferring mash/wash and over time they've become stained from the molasses washes. We use 100% molasses for our rum, and the same type of "film" or "dirt" that is left behind in the fermentation tanks is what seems to be in the hoses as well. We are able to easily clean the fermentation tanks with PBW and a brush ... but not so much the hoses. Anybody have any suggestions as to what chemicals or "pipe cleaner" of sorts that we could run through the hoses to scrub them a bit? Thanks in advance.
