Chart of Accounts specific for a distillery

Hello, I am in the process of setting up our craft distillery and was wondering if anyone is able to share an accounting system chart of accounts specifically for a craft distillery with me. I can't seem to find any that are specific to our industry

• I'm going to be using Xero accounting software

• our entity is a company

• We do have investors,
• Will have credit cards
• will use a simple inventory purchased system
• sell both retail and wholesale
• May do some contract manufacturing but will do all our own production.
• tasting room with distillery tours and merchandise.

Much appreciated.

@Davewitty You may be over thinking it.  When purchasing goods (Inventory) you can simply group all inventory items into one ASSET account and then use sub-accounts for your INCOME account and your EXPENSE account.  Your sub-accounts are good for separating your retail and wholesale sales income and cost of goods sold.  Your accounting software should be able to break it down even further and show individual product sales & COGS.  I would also separate the tasting room completely from your distillery INCOME (sales) & COGS.

Hopefully this helps get you started in the right direction.

Take care,
Shawn
