Wow - congratulations and that is very encouraging! Our reviewer sounds like the one described above (initial J, female) that a lot of folks are having trouble with which is concerning. BUT, she has been easy to reach and very responsive whenever I have called her. She is on vacation right now and on Tuesday I will call her as we sent her a revised drawing with a POB of JUST the bonded area as she requested. I think that was the last bit of info she needed from us. We are at day 42. What can we expect from here.....

July 23 to Oct. 14. 84 days. Took a little over 60 days to hear from our specialist (who was wonderful). Only took a day or two to get through that step. We were stuck on "Recommend Final Disposition" for a few weeks just due to backlog then had to correct one final piece of paper to satisfy a Supervisor. All in all, I thought the TTB was very easy to deal with.

We spent a few weeks preparing the forms and submitted them ourselves, we did not use a consultant to submit the paperwork or assist us.

68 days!!! Submitted August 23rd. Only problem now is that I cannot find our DSP approval online nor our DSP number. We received instructions to go to supporting documents to find it, but all we see are the documents WE uploaded with our application. Any ideas on where to find our approved documents?

Thank you,

Amy

PS - Turns out the email in our log-in didn't match our contact number causing a disconnect!! If your email changes be sure to change in in the log-in information too!

Congrats! I'm glad to see some short days being posted recently.

Question for those who have been in the sub-100 approvals. Is your operation relatively simple with few if no investors and an uncomplicated layout?

We just got ours today!!

August 24 to October 30, 67 days. We had about a day of back and forth with our TTB specialist correcting some minor things. Overall, I'm pretty happy considering we prepared the documents ourselves.

MaskCraft, our approval documents are shown in the "Supporting Documents and Attachments Section". It looks like the TTB added 4 new documents today.

Skaalvenn, our operation is pretty simple. We have no investors and a pretty simple layout. All 1 building, 1 floor....bonded premise, tax paid retail area, and 4 general premises.

Exciting news all! We submitted Oct 7. Assigned to specialist as of Oct 27.

We're hopeful that things will be pretty straightforward for us too. Jim McCoy reviewed our application prior to submission and had a couple corrections/recommendations. He was fantastic to work with and fingers crossed, it'll be helpful to the TTB as well!

We have a group of about 15 investors, but only 3 of us had to submit financials, etc. Others are small investors. We are going grain to glass in our building. We only had to re-submit the directions of our bonded area and our reviewer was a little confused on what she really needed (we have an exterior boiler building) and communication was sketchy for a couple of days. I had to call a couple of times to check because it took 3 weeks to get final approval after our review submitted for approval and on day 68 - yesterday - we got our approval!

Good luck to everyone playing the waiting game!!

We just got our DSP we submitted on October 17th and were sent for approval on December 11th. So 87 days for approval.

We only had a couple of clarifications about our ownership structure since we complicated it by financing with our 401K but overall we had less then a week of corrections in there.

Folks,

Just wanted to throw out a quick update as well. As you know, I work with distilleries all over the country on their insurance and bonding and I keep a pretty close eye on how long the process takes. I have had several in the last week who have been issued their DSP approval in the 55 to 65 day range! Is it possible the TTB is getting faster????? It appears so! Congrats to all of my clients who received their DSP in the last week.

Thanks Aaron , i cant take any credit for how fast it went, but if anyone needs an affordable consultant to make the process go smooth, the guy I used did a great job. The TTB specialist assigned my app sent me one e-mail, to say that I did an "OUTSTANDING" job and that she recommended it for approval. She even wrote it just like that. So if anyone needs a guy, hollar at me! Woulda been even faster without the holidays too!

New kids on the block - The Baltimore Whiskey Company. Permit DSP-MD-20010.

Date submitted: 12/8/2014

Date Approved: 2/17/2015

Total time elapsed: 71 days.

A tilt of the glass, a touch of the cap, a bow at the waist, and even a kissing of the boots of David Dunbar for his help with our app and our bond. After the ardor of the approval process noted in this forum was noted, I will say that we spent more than a little bit of time and effort on the application. Thanks, ADI Forum Participants, for publicizing so many issues.

Cheers, Hon!
