  4. Really nice mid-size hammer mill manufactured by C.S. Bell for Glenn Mills and selling for $2500. This Model 30 Hammer Mill is 5HP-230V-3ph-60Hz, 1750 RPM w/12" Feed. It has four screens, blower and dust cyclone and I have routinely used this mill to grind corn, wheat and rye to a fine flour. I can do 1200-1500lbs of corn per hour through it when hand feeding. I am sure it would do more with a handling system. I will put it on a pallet and load, you arrange shipping from 32168.

  8. e have a stainless steel dewatering press on casters that we purchased two years go and have never used so it is in new condition. This is a continuous feed screw press that can be fed by the included feed pump or by the included hopper. This is identical to the unit that Still Dragon sells https://stilldragon.com/liquid-separator.html for significantly less money. $7500 or best offer. I will put it on a pallet but you arrange shipping. VID_20190510_111925883.mp4
  9. Thatch - Now I am being told that the exception only applies if in a sprinkled space. Otherwise I am limited to the 120 gallons as a H3 space since the exception only applies to the wood and not the contents of the barrel... I couldn't make this up if i tried...
  10. Thatch - Thank you! We really do appreciate it.
  11. Need some help here! My AHJ is saying that the barrels and the bottles are to be treated the same as bulk storage. Can someone please point me to where those are exempt under NFPA?
  12. Sorry, not the plastic ones. We would be using rated stainless totes.
  13. Does anyone know the implications on MAQ to storing IBC(s) in shipping containers outside? This would offer more security for outside storage.
  14. Silk - What does your gut say concerning size? 600 gal cooker, 200 gal pot, 8" continuous 2 gal beer per minute. Tom
  15. We are in the process of building an new facility and eager to upgrade from all electric (direct fire, bain marie and steam generator) to a 15-20hp boiler. I am currently looking at tube boilers from Rite, Hurst and Parker. I would appreciate any insight that could be offer concerning these or other boilers. We currently have a 211 gallon pot, continuous still and a 211 gallon mash cooker (upgrading to 600 gallon). Tom
  16. Adam - Do you happen to have any closeup pictures of bubble caps on these stills? I would love to see what those look like.
  17. Best deal out there for those http://bucktap.com/ email them for then case discount.
  18. We do our labeling by hand with a AP362 so I may not be much help on that one. I am happy to post up a video of it running though. I think @Sudzieuses painted bottles but maybe they can comment also.
  19. As a follow-up. There was a big delay in getting us our equipment and the communication was lacking. That said, I love the machine. We have basically the same setup as Wiggly Bridge and it is fantastic.
  20. Welcome Schoboo! I spent 20 years as an architect and 10 of that as a architecture professor before starting a distillery. I like to say that architecture led me to drinking. As PeteB said, RESEARCH! I knew nothing it about it before I jumped in three years ago. I think you will find that the folks on this forum can be very helpful! Just post your questions and see what happens. Happy to help if I can.
  21. If you are referring to the gas pump style nozzle, we have one and it works great! Easy to fill the barrels and no mess. Not sure on the gravity fill since we use a diaphragm pump.
  22. I have been using the device for several weeks now and really like it. While I have no other experience with handhelds, I can say that I am really impressed with the unit. It is well made, easy to use and very accurate. Like the other handhelds on the market, it is not TTB approved, but it greatly improves our day-to-day efforts and saves a ton of time. The battery holds a charge well and it has lots of features: bar code scanner, RFID reader, blue tooth connectivity, specific gravity, brix, proof and lots of other stuff I haven't figured out yet.
  23. Finally had an opportunity to watch this episode tonight. A lot of fun to watch. Tasmania has moved way up on the list of places I want to visit! Beautiful! I would also love to try some of your whiskey one day!
