  1. Sudzie - Thanks for getting back. The system that Edwin is doing for us is very similar to yours. I try to check in every couple weeks or so but he can take several days to respond. But he does respond most of the time. Unfortunately, we have been waiting for explosion proof motors for about 8 weeks. I'm still hopeful that we will get the machine this summer.
  2. I am curious if anyone has had experience with No Limits Packaging? We ordered a bottling line from them many weeks ago and still haven't seen anything. I know that covid is playing a role with supply chain delays but we are currently more than 5x the stated delivery time. Has anyone else dealt with them?
  3. Absolutely! We run it at 74 degrees year round! 😁
  4. This is in the vendor section
  5. We have had a couple of panels built by https://ebrewsupply.com and we have been very happy with them.
  6. We have been running on Hoochware for a couple of years and recently made the decision to go to Distillx. Like @Skaalvennour decision to go with Hoochware was largely financial but I did like the graphical interface. We are happy with our decision to change to a more mature system that we will grow into as our business grows.
  7. We love ours! I do wish it had a take-up for the paper after the labels are attached and another digit on the counter like @whiskeytango mentioned. We also have one of there label printers with the re-winder, also great!
  8. Do you have a picture of this?
  9. Not cheep but this is what we use https://www.amazon.com/Husky-840004-40-Nickle-Plated-Whiskey/dp/B00K9T7TA6/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=840004-40&qid=1589503677&sr=8-1
  10. I've decided to get one of Mettler's and give it a try.
  11. Neither of these instruments can handle obscured spirits.
  12. Hi All - We are to a point where we need to get a handheld and I am looking at the Snap 51 and the DensitoPro. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the DensitoPro? Thanks!
  13. I got a call from someone claiming to be with the DOT out of the atlanta office. Wanting to assist with hazmat. Told him we aren't shipping the sanitizer.
  14. Dave - So do we need to denature or not under this emergency ruling?
  15. Would something like this work? https://greenpaperproducts.com/biodegradable-1ounce-portion-cups-pc1nl.aspx?var=500ik=3895&gclid=CjwKCAiAy9jyBRA6EiwAeclQhNML_KH3AxKz-EodNKIkTLUnrS09Cc50XbcJZRO5418Xo2KZ2O7pfhoC6kYQAvD_BwE This is PLA (corn starch) and can be composted.
  16. We went to glass several months ago and added an under-counter low temp dishwasher. It will wash 50+ 3/4 oz shot glasses in 90 seconds. Now were not throwing away thousands of plastic shot glasses.
  17. We use continental purple snake from JME and DairyFlow from TCW https://www.jmesales.com/continental-contitech-purple-snake-beverage-hose/
  18. Thank you for the explanation. Can you expand a little on this regarding the hopped issue?
  19. We have done a number of small experiments on distilling beers from the local breweries and they have turned out well. We now have a brewery that would like to distill a large amount of beer (50 barrels+). I know some of you have done this before and I am wondering how you handled the transfer for tax purposes? Is this a transfer in bond or does the brewery prepay the tax? This is beer that would be otherwise dumped because it is out of code.
  20. Paul - I did go with the assumption that OP was single phase and yes the math is slightly more complex if it is three phase.
  21. For sizing a breaker the math is 11,000/240 = 45.8333 then you need a safety factor of 25% minimum 45.8333*1.25=57.2917 then round up to the next size breaker 60. https://www.hunker.com/12291117/how-to-size-a-circuit-breaker
  22. Florida is an open records state. So data protection of any sort is rather thin. But hey, we have great weather (most of the time).
  23. Glenlyon - Are you doing a combination of cocktail and bottle sales or just bottle sales? If both, what is the breakdown on that?
