I am baffled by the range of design and combinations of copper heads on stills - balls, teardrops, witches hats, etc, with and without plate columns, not to mention the various angles of lyne arms, etc etc. I am looking to produce tasteful gin from GNS. Does any one have any expertise they could share on the pros and cons, from this perspective, of the different combination of stand alone copper heads, or of the copper head in combination with a column? regards

A warm hello from a chilly Poland! Dominat here, introducing myself as requested. British but a long term Polish resident. Looking to distil fine Gin and introduce to a nation of hardened vodka drinkers (do I hear "Good luck with that" in the background!?). Very much in the learning phase, and humbly aware that in this arena of experts, 'fine Gin' sounds like even more of an ambitious 'stretch' objective! The forum has already been enormously helpful to this amateur lurker, so a sincere thank you to all who have contributed your expertise so generously .
