LMAO,I have to say that this was the best laugh all day. Since I am reserching boilers for my project and getting frustrated it helped a whole damn lot. Thank Guys I needed that. Plus I truely lerned somethings.

Well I have very little experience in this are but have been reading alot and also asked advice from our German Still Builder since we are in the throughs of decision making. I felt that more steam was also a must as there would be less uptake and also I would be using it for other functions. It was suggested that we go for a 1.4 Million BTU boiler for a 1000L. They also sugested Columbia boilers. In looking into it I have found that many brewers are using their WL series and I was looking at the MPH series. Good info on their website and I am going down to the local boiler installer next week to get more advice. And to all the others who posted thatnks for the info.

We are currently seeking investors for a private offering here in the Reno, NV. / Lake Tahoe Basin to create a brewing and distilling destination. Currently there are no Distilleries in the State of Nevada however, legislation that we have been working on for over a year is in front of the legislature currently in session with the support of Nevada Distributors. Located in the Center of Reno at a former brewery (1950) it is our plan to utilize the historical value of the location and the 65 acre feet of water located underneath via the artesian well certified in approximately 1904. Being a high traffic tourist destination coupled with the allure of Lake Tahoe and all it has to offer we intend to open a Craft Distillery and 30 or 60- BBL Brewery focusing on bottle packaging and kegging. There will be a tasting room on site. This is a new start up that will redevelop an entire city block in the heart of the city taking advantage of the newly opened Freight House District and Reno Aces baseball stadium. Currently the Distillery Business plan is completed and is phase one of the overall project. The brewery has developed out of the need to have both a distillery and brewery to accompany the artist community and restaurant with a possible speakeasy within the block. Pete, There are different trpes of Scotchbrite pads. The green one dont do much but the brown ones from the automotive supply house or the automotive paint supply. I would try that or go to the fine grit emmery cloth pads. The 6 inch pads on an orbital sander may also be the ticket.

Hello Dave, Having worked in the Ice Cream Business at one point I can tell you that the machine involves a conveyor belt and the heating elements in an L shape, the wrap comes on a spool and id doubled over once you drop the arms with the element wires in them it cuts the wrap and the shoot it thru a heat tunnel. I agree with Bill on this I dont see why a problem would arrise but thank you foar asking as I do was wondering about this and felt it would be a better way with time and space mgt for me. Working on the Investor issue right now. I was looking at the fact I could order extract in at 3300 lbs and stack that 3 high. This would be a large space savings and give me the ability to have a smaller space and get away with more barrel storage.

An Update to this. Received information today that yes this can be used to pack spirits however they have nobody in the US that is licenced to do so. JUst felt it was a unique way to be green in this market.

Hello All, I saw this new box wine packaging that the wine industry is utilizing and changing the belief toward box wines. Hello, My name is Virgil Strong and I am almost completed with our business plan for a Start Up in Reno Nevada. After having the plan reviewed by SBA counselors we left with two suggestions and this is where I need the help. Our SBA counselor wants to see two story's from existing Craft Distilling Business's that will reflect 3 things approx start up cost, approx first year profit or loss and second or third year profit or loss. I am not asking for hard data numers here as I feel that is a little rude but if someone is willing to give me a few stories to satisfy the couselor I would greatly appreciate it. I have been lurking here for several weeks reading anything and everything and I have to thank everybody for the willingness to address questions and the answers are so wonderful it is inspiring. Wow, I would agree in the comments here about how can Makers Mark trademark the drip of the wax. The only possibility I can think of is that the formulation of the wax that they use is formulated in such a manner to make the long drips happen. This reminds me of Harley Davidson and the law suit against Yamaha and the sound of that a Harley produces. I am wondering if a clarification can be made through the governmnet as to how this is possible so as not to duplicate this?

First off if you are in the United States yes there are alot of regulatory factors I would suggest that you look into the TTB web site to answer all those questions along with reading here as those requirement are the same as we have to abide by.
