  3. Andy, I have been in the industry for over 11 years on the packaging side. I work with a lot of different distilleries helping them manage there supply chain and packaging needs. I used to work for Vitro then Saverglass. I started my own company that not only does the packaging, design, deco and so on but also broker bulk spirits with a distillery in MN. We are putting out 150 barrels a month of bourbon currently but are ramping up to 200 barrels. If you want more info please email me jph@heintzglobal.com Cheers! Josh

  11. Guys, The glass industry is a very hard one to forecast. When producing product you have a limited amount of tonnage you can pull per day from each furnace. It also cost around 100 million to build a new plant and increase volume. The industry as a whole fluctuates in waves of capacity restraints. Some years companies are really looking for business to fill furnaces and other years lead times go out for 4 to 6 months. With that said I have been working hard over the past 3 years to increase “Stock” of our bottles in the Central US. We have a warehouse in KY that I can ship single pallets if needed. This inventory is only for spirits companies so my focus is on you guys, not wine or any other package type. What I suggest for situations like this is simple. Set up a P.O. for 6 months, bring in the glass for that time and bill you for what you take when you take it. As long as I have a commitment for the inventory I can justify holding your need in inventory. Contact me with any questions. Cheers! Josh 414-426-5184 – jph@saverglass.com
  12. Smoogdog, This is just like our "stock" bottle the Scott. Refernce number 2385-0. Email me and I will send you the catalogue. The file is to large to upload. Cheers! Josh jph@saverglass.com
  13. Guys, This is a great point. One thing to remember, most all US, Mexico & European glass companies put the volume number on the side or bottom of the bottle. You will see either a 750ml or 75cl. BB in regards to your friend who had 700ml bottles passed off as 750ml, that is terrible. There are a few factors that impact corks popping. The main one is head space. With a spirit over 40 proof you need to have 3% head space to account for the amount the higher alcohol will expand in temperature change. All “Spirits” bottles should have this and our molds do. Wine however only needs a 1% head space. I have run into this issue when someone took a wine bottle and put vodka in it. There are also different internal dimensions for a wine cork opening and a T-cork opening. All in all if you have questions like this one to discuss call me anytime. Cheers! Josh 414-426-5184
  14. All, Just a friendly reminder that almost all of the standard stock bottle that Saverglass offers come in 700ml. I have heard it is hard to find options in this size here in the US. Let me know if you need help! Cheers! Josh jph@saverglass.com

Can hold 80 proof spirits with proper head space. Cheers! Josh

  18. Thank you for the input. Yes we are talking about the 23mm inside diameter with the 33mm outside.
  19. In the spirit of helping all of you I wanted to pose a few questions. 1. Are you having issues finding pour spouts that fit the 32mm finish? 2. Do the ones offered leak? 3. Would there be interest if I could source one for the Saverglass, Oslo, Noes, Kendo & so on which would work effectively, I.E. leak free? 4. What other things are key in design of a pour spout for bars and tasting rooms? Let me know! Cheers!
  20. Brad, I am sure many have talked to you about SPRAY COATING the bottles. The other option is to purchase DARK AMBER bottles, I.E. the color of the glass used for Bailey's and other cream liquors. Give me a call if you would like to know more. Josh 414-426-5184
  21. The warehouse is in KY just south of Cincinatti, OH JPH
  22. Guys, I understand your concern and the fact that $300 to $400 for international charges is crazy but that is the cost of shipping things overseas. Now working for Saverglass I see these issues and we are doing everything we can to address them. Most of the time we only charge for samples if you are requesting more than 3 or 4 units and the charge is never for the glass only for the freight. If you are having trouble getting samples from us, let me know. If we have the bottle in stock in the US there shouldn’t be an issue but we do run into problems when the samples have to come from France. Most of the time I can use your UPS or FedEx number for the freight. This charge is also waived if there is a P.O. in for these bottles. There are many ways around this. I am sorry for the bad experiences in the past but with some team work we can correct them in the future.
  23. Hi All! Just a quick note to let you know that Saverglass is going to start stocking spirits bottle in the US for as small as single pallet quantity orders. The first container will arrive in August. The bottle included will be some basics, I.E. Ariane, Kendo & Oslo, to start but we now have the ability to expand. Please feel free to contact me with questions. ---------------------------------- Joshua P. Heintz Saverglass Inc. 414-426-5184 jph@saverglass.com ----------------------------------
