  1. The biggest question I have about our new still is how to clean the condenser and lyne arms between the pot and columns. It is a 1000L vodka still with 20 plates. The plates and the pot are all on the CIP system. However, the condenser and spirit path between the pot and columns are not. We were told by the manufacturer to clean it by running tails through it. This seems like the wrong answer to me, considering the oils from the tails are mostly what we are trying to clean in the first place. I have a plan to rig up a line from the CIP pump right into the point where spirit leaves the condenser, but wasn't sure if I am missing something, or am mistaken about the cleaning powers of a tails run. As always, thanks for the help!

  3. Greetings, I am Brad from TBRC. I have a beautiful Pot combination Column Still it is 1200 Gallons here in Florida. Do you guys have any recommendation on cleaning a still this size? I have citric acid and PBW available to me. Cheers and Thank you from TBRC.
  4. Looking for a good home for a dependable still. I'm looking to get is sold as quickly as possible. I need to get it off my friend's floor so he can install his own equipment. He's been nice enough to store it for me! I had been saving it in case I got back into the industry, but I've decided to stick with my day job! Still Description: The still is a Series 2 Bain Marie Style Artisan Still from Artisan Still Design. It originally cost $85K new. It was used primarily as a stripping and finishing still to make whiskey, gin, and even small batch vodka. 150 GL double jacketed copper pot with 4 inch drain, pressure gauge, thermometers, etc. Can be run with steam or as a double boiler using 6 heating elements (elements not included). It's set up for either Steam or as a double boiler. I ran it with oil in the jacket as a double boiler and used heating elements to run it. I didn't have a boiler, so I used the electric setup. I do not have controller...these can be built for minimal expense or you can contact Sherman Owens for a control box if you need. If you decide to run it with steam, you wouldn't need a controller. Other Items: 1/2 Copper (Top) and 1/2 SS kettle (bottom). 4 plate copper column with copper bypass, ports for thermometers on each plate. Plates are bubble caps. Stainless steel dephleg with thermometer port. Stainless steel condenser with thermometer port. Stainless steel parrot. SS Jackets, piping, etc. 2 hp Agitator with motor, housing, and mixing shaft. CIP ports for pot and column. Has all seals, valves, thermometers, pressure gauge, pipes, tri-clamp fittings, tri-clamp seals, etc. Just needs to be put together. I'm asking for $25K OBO plus shipping and it would ship out of Prosser, Washington. A Friend is storing it for me at his distillery there. He'd box it up and get it shipped to you, if you decided to buy it. If interested in the still, please IM me. I am looking for a cash buyer and will not lease or use a payment plan. I will entertain lower offers. Thank you!

  7. Hi!, AM trying to figure out floor space in a potential building and in the garage is 38' x 50' x 17,9 high , two garage doors 12' witch is on the right on the plan left section is tasting room and office etc . Is it possible to have 300 gallon still for gin and a 600 gallon still & rectification column 20 plates in that floor space for vodka and whisky? is it too much? what size do i need the fermenters to be and mash plus a stripping still size so it doesn't bottleneck for 4-5 days a week production? After that we need a space for empty and full bottle palets, bottling section and storage tanks, storage space grain & barrels. Am i losing my time with this place? The plan is to get 60 000 x 750ML bottles a year at it maximum potential. Thank you for your feedback if am missing things or else let me know!

  9. We are looking to sell our new 600 gal whiskey/Stripping still and 600 gal mash tank. We are closing down the distillery and no longer need them. Neither have been hooked up to steam but the Mash tank was used to screen out a few mashes we did on our smaller mash tank. The attached specs are for our original 1000 gallon whiskey still we planned on purchasing but went with the 600 gal instead. So the only difference is the tank size is smaller than what is shown in the attached specs. DYE is a very good company and has been out to inspect these both after we installed them in the distillery. Both items are steam jacketed. 600 Gal Still - $68,400.00 $60,000.00 600 Gal Mash Tank - $22,400.00 $20,000.00 Buyer will need to arrange for removal and shipping. we do have a shipping container for $1,400.00 that they originally came in if interested to purchase and ship in again. let me know if there are any questions. 600 gallon Pot Still Shows 1000 but is 600.pdf 600gal Mash lauter tun -Model %281%29 review drawing 4-29-15.pdf

  17. Well we ordered our 300 gallon distilling system fromCorson Distilling back in April 2017. we tried to follow-up on delays - they just kept sending emails that it looks good and should be ready next month. from November 2017 till Aug. 2018. Was then sent a picture of a pot still which did not look like ours and final payment demand - tried to call and sent numerous emails but they would not respond and when asked to see a picture of our logo on it and the serial number on the still but they refused and said I was now in breach of the 5 days. I find them very unethical and we are currently looking into our options. Looking to hear feed back on how others dealt with the delay issues and what you have done to fix it. Please email me at Tom@camronconsulting.com
  18. I’m looking for a small Genio or iStill for sale to turn my heads and tales into something useful. email rick@isantispirits.com
  19. Well we ordered our 400 gallon distilling system from Corson Distilling over a year ago... and to no ones surprise... no still. Due to legal proceedings taking place I cannot comment in detail. But if you have already ordered from them... get a lawyer now. If you haven't ordered yet and are considering going with Corson, make sure to read the ADI comments and re-read them so that you are up to speed on what to expect (or not expect). Unfortunately, ADI had taken down the comments about Corson when we were doing our research. Feel free to email me for information. I will share the facts of what we have experienced. I am also including the link below to an article in the Idaho Statesman which really sheds light on the business practices and dangers associated with the products if you haven't been convinced by the comments posted in ADI. 22. $10,000 - Selling my 500L Hoga. I had a water bath built, with direct fire natural gas burners. Heat up time is about 2 hours and the run time can be as quick as 3 hours and as slow as 8 hours depending on how many of the plates you're using and how hard you're running the dephlegmator. It has a column with up to 10 removable plates, and then a dephlegmator above the condenser. I've been able to do stripping runs, finishing runs, whisky, rum, short runs of vodka and brandy on this unit, and its size pairs very well with my stripping still. The water bath helps keep the quality high on your final product. $6000 - 600 gallon custom stripping still. I purchased the 600 gallon double walled and jacketed tank, added a 2hp agitator with a bronze boat prop and a mechanical variable drive (wired for 110V right now but can be rewired for 220V), put a 3" column and built a copper coiled condenser out of a propane tank. I've used it with a direct fire burner that is included, it was designed to evenly apply heat over a large area across the bottom to reduce hot spots and burning. This still will need to get the column reattached after being moved into place. $3000 - 10hp meadow mills hammer mill model5 with fan discharge for flour. This unit is single phase 220V so it can work anywhere, you can even run it off of a generator easily! I have 1/16" screen and 1/4" screen. The hammer mill will need new cloth bags to catch the grain, while being stored I had some rats chew through them. $500 - 1,000# +/-0.2lbs NTEP pallet scale. I went for the lower weight to get higher accuracy. I would be willing to sell everything together with a bundle price or each piece separately. I used the large still as a mash tun, so all you would need potentially is a pump and some fermenters to get your distillery started. I could process 1500# of grain per mash/stripping run and 3000# of potatoes the one time I made a potato vodka.
