Taff_Davies
Greetings from the Falkland Islands, south Atlantic Ocean. Currently in its mid winter period here, temperature 5 Celsius and sunny, we can have all four seasons in one day, any day of the year. Had been distilling as a pastime for a number of years, using a home built rig. Then as retirement approached, I realised that I needed something to keep me occupied so invested in an off the shelf rig, formed up a company called Tumbledown Whisky Limited, trading under the name of "Tumbledown Distillery", bought malted barley and filled a hogshead which is the very first single malt whisky to be produced in my country.. How many can have such a claim to fame? I am now waiting to erect a new build specifically for the distillery. All the best Taff Davies www.falklandwhisky.com
Southernhighlander
Hi Taff, Is it warm enough to grow barley there on the Islands? If it is, I imagine that you could have a very good business as long as most Falklanders drink Whiskey, which I am guessing that a lot of them do. If you ever need any equipment give us a holler. paul@distillery-equipment.com http://distillery-equipment.com

And there's far too many to shoot. So, unfortunately, tis far more economical to import. And thank you for your info regarding equipment - very much appreciated. All the best and cheers Taff
