Zoning in San Diego for a distillery

Hello everyone, 

I found a lot in San Diego that is permitted for mixed industrial use. However, my concern is how do I make sure that we are qualified to build up a distillery on this location and what are the zoning requirements for a distillery? 

I read lots of topics around here about the fire codes, fire marchal, gallon capacities, etc. And I would like to ask those have done it before what should I keep in mind when I'm about to start my city permits / planning process? What are the biggest obstacles that I can face?

Um go to  the local building authority and ask them if you can have a distillery at that location. That should pretty much answer your question on if its ok
