Double G
Came across the below link for a whiskey made from potatoes. Don't recall seeing potatoes as an ingredient for whiskey in the BAM? Very interesting!!! https://www.ttbonline.gov/ALFD/publicViewImage.do?id=10327003000001
palousespirits
Huh? Why would the TTB allow that?
rhynorange
Grandfathered? Distillers have been using potatoes for a long, long time. I wonder how it tastes...
ChrisNYC
It's pretty tasty--I just poured myself a dram to refresh my recollection. We stopped at 303 this summer when we were out in Colorado, and Steve, Terri and Brandy were very gracious hosts. Their place is certainly worth a visit if you're in the Boulder, CO, area. Their potato vodka is superlative, so it's no surprise that the aged "whiskey" version of it is good as well.
cowdery
TTB allowed it because TTB screwed up. It has been corrected.
Jedd Haas
What is the class and type now? Their site still mentions 303 Whiskey, but there is no actual product page.
cowdery
I don't know, exactly. They don't reply to emails.
