We just got a call from the WV Dept. of Environmental Protection that they needed to do an Air Quality Inspection. The guy was very nice but admitted to not knowing much about distilleries. One of his comments was "How much methanol do you emit every hour?" I said "I'm not in the business of releasing alcohol vapor." I'd like to say I was floored but I guess I'm not. I can't remember a single time that the government offered help, but so far we've had the FDA inspect and I guess DEP will inspect us on Wednesday. I'm a bit anxious what they will suggest or require. I figure brewers have had this problem too. Anyone here have these folks show up and your facility?
