Jason Parker
I clicked "submit" on 3/1/13, and received my DSP on 4/5/13, for a total of 36 days. It took me 3 months to complete, and one phone call to the TTB. Fortunately, no changes were required. The WA state permit is taking a bit longer... Edited 5/25/13: We received our state permit on Tuesday, May 21. 63 days after applying. Now for the final inspection by the fire marshal. "T's" crossed, along with fingers. :-)

Palmetto Coast
Congrats Jason! They seem to be moving along pretty well. When I spoke to the TTB, they mentioned that the major holdups were things like not including the original bond forms or other major portions incomplete. It seems that with a well put together application and the right agents, the average time is 30-60 days.

kckadi
Less than 24 hours from notice of final disposition to notice of permit. I think I might of had the permit 2 weeks earlier but I had a small bond issue to take care of and some small changes to my tasting room description. I also copied/pasted one of my sections directly from the TTB regulations (per a recommendation from a thread here on ADI) but forgot to remove the reference to wine making so I was asked how much wine I intended to produce. It took me about a week to get the bond and other corrections and then I waited another week till the TTB emailed me yesterday (Wed) to let me know it was in for final approval. This morning(Thursday) there was another email saying the permit was issued. The TTB agent and help desk were very helpful through the process. I made a total of three phone calls with questions and 4 emails with the agent. The TTB agent even made my bond corrections for me(I and my bond agent had to sign a release to let them do it). I did the entire permit process myself so if I can do it I think most anyone should be able to. My application may of been more simple than others as I am sole officer/owner of my LLC and I am self financed.

FrEwing
Here's my contribution. Got my Basic Permit June 17, 2013. Submitted the application 0n Mar. 10, 2013. - 3 months and a few days. Folks at Permits on Line were great and so helpful. Couldn't have gotten through it with them. State license application fully submitted and all the Public posting done. Should be finished in the next couple of weeks. - No for completing Formulas and COLA. Formulas completely different from Permits. SO far it been difficult to make contact and get advice. The On line forms and interface are not as self explanatory as Permits. For anyone starting, it's not obvious how to register and nor did I see anything telling me they will send a default username and password before you can begin and complete the submission. I hope all goes well and The COLA moves ahead easily. Regardless, I'm moving forward.

Stills Crossroad
We received our DSP after 97 days. I had to make two corrections, one on the diagram and I had to resubmit the bond form which was lost. I made both corrections the same day. The corrections were reviewed 30 days later and we got approval the next day. State of Alabama approval 11 days later. Time to start mashing. johnbsys
We started the process in September of 2012 by trying to get an Ethanol Fuel plant permit so that we could start experimenting. We incorporated in January of 2013 and started the process of getting our DSP permit. In February we finally received our Ethanol Fuel permit but thought that it would confuse the TTB having both permits so we called the TTB to cancel out Ethanol Fuel permit and then submitted out DSP permit paperwork. After a few bounce backs for more information we finally received our DSP permit at the end of June.
