Sorghumrunner
Well, we applied in mid July, and received our DSP and Winery permits yesterday. Had a couple issues with the bond requirements, and then there was the 2 week shutdown. Now it's off to the races!

Telluride
Applied Jan 29th, after several emails due to bond issues and affirming that our tasting room was separate from our bonded area, we finally got approved! Approved Today, May 20 DSP-CO-S-20028. Time to get my labels and state done! I couldn't have done it without this forum! WanderNorth
15 January to 22 May. DSP-MN-20013. My specialist couldn't figure out how to return phone calls or emails. I had to call the main line and ask them to send the supervisor an email. That helped get things going.
KarlJohnson
Application submitted 2/13/14, now at day 145. Seems I got a new reviewer and my file has to wait in two lines. Any tips? I get occasional email back and there have been a few minor issues to resolve, but nothing I could not get back to them within one day. If so we are probably dealing with the same incompetent person. We're sitting at 151 days (filed 2/7/14) and we're starting to get very frustrated. Money is flowing out with nothing coming back in and our state LCB and the USDA breathing down our necks because they can't do their work till the DSP is in. schnit
Good to hear! There seems to be a few people lately having to contact supervisors to get things moving. It's sad that a business can be hampered so much by one person.
Salishseaorganicliqueurs
That feeling when your reviewer doesn't talk to you for three weeks and refuses to return any messages and then comes back to us asking us to undo the corrections she made us do a month ago. 158 days in and I may scream. This woman seems to be incredibly incompetent, should we try and go over her head?
Salishseaorganicliqueurs
After 159 days of waiting we have heard back from the TTB!! Our application has been approved and we are now a federally licensed distillery!! DSP-WA-21058!!
Wayward
I know its not really the same in Canada but our license was approved in principle under 5 weeks. We were quoted 4-6 months, the nice lady said we were the most complete and quickest license approval she'd ever seen.

charb
Just approved - filed May 5 2014 approved July 14 It would have been faster but it took them from the 5th to the 14th to get back to me that my attachments did not upload properly, I resent and they opened the application on May 15th and approved on July 14, under 60 days. sonnyk
We, KO Distilling in Manassas, VA, just received our DSP Permit on Friday. DSP-VA-20018 It took 67 days with no questions asked by TTB. We did use McCoy Consultants and I feel Lang's assistance really streamlined the process. Next week we'll submit to VA ABC for our State Distillery License and VA ABC Store approval. We hope to have everything in place and operating by the end of the year. John O.

StonesRyan
All that stands in the way of my DSP is the Manager Disposition. The TTB specialist's comment under Status in Permits Online is "Approval Recommended". Anyone recall how long this final step of the application process took? Trying to ration the Valium in order to quell the mounting anxiety/ excitement...
MaskCraft
StonesRyan - we're one or two steps behind you - do you mind letting us know how many days it took to get "Approval Recommended"? Xananx is my choice of anxiety quelling aid!
StonesRyan
MaskCraft, it took about two months to get to that point. However, nothing has happened with it since last Monday when that occurred and it still says "Assigned to TBD". I thought it would be a matter of hours (as was someone else's experience in this thread) or a few days at most for the final approval. Alas I'm still waiting...
