Huffy2k
OK, I got my DSP approved on January 26th. I know it's approved through a conversation I had with the TTB specialist as well as the fact it's marked as "Approved" in my Permits Online account (I was also able to register for a COLA account). As of today, I have not yet received any sort of official acknowledgement from TTB (in the form of either an email or US Mail)? I would expect to receive some sort of a official paperwork that includes my license as well as instructions on registering with Pay.gov, deadlines for filing reports, etc. Can anybody out there tell me if this lack of communication is typical? glisade
Yes, at least in my case there is minimum communication at this point. They leave it up to you to make sure you pay your taxes on time and everything else. They will post your permit info into your Permits Online account for you to download if you want. You have to register for a Pay.gov account and they'll send you information for that.
bluefish_dist
Make sure you file your monthly reports now. Also your quarterly excise tax even if it's 0. And yes, all I got was an email saying approved. For formula approval all you get is an email saying the status changed.

dhdunbar
Go to your permits on line page on TTB's website, click on search your applications, click on the approved application, and you will get a tracking page. I don't know that it has a name. Drop down to and click on ""Supporting Documents and Attachments (Click arrow to view details). Your permit, registration, and bond will appear there. You should print these and put them in a permit file that you keep at the DSP premises for TTB to view if they wander in one day while out and about.
Lassiter Distilling Co
We had our permit approved April 7 - know the reporting deadline for March is tomorrow. Since we didn't have a permit in March, any need to submit our reports for the month? I would think not, but want to be sure. I called TTB, but no answer and they haven't returned my VM. Huffy2k
I've been advised to submit reports showing zero's in all production categories.
clearwaterbrewer
I was told by consultant you should fill, out 3 forms when not producing anything 5110.11 - you will have all zeroes across lines 6 and 24 5110.28 - you will have zeroes on 8, 26, 31, 47 (and maybe 67, but I did not) 5110.40 - you will have zeroes across line 14 and down column L Oh, and make a note in big bold letters to always update the month if you 'duplicate' the last months report... if must have gotten me 4-5 times... bull
When applying for your COLA formula and labels account did you receive an email confirming you applied. I have yet to get any confirmation
