Someone who is singularly focused on making delicious products, growing the business and looking for new opportunities. We need a lead distiller to brew, ferment and distill whiskey in our state of the art facility. We have been open for 18 months and business is great. We have three products on the market and one more coming soon. We're pretty good distillers but looking for someone better than ourselves. Someone who is clean, meticulous, hungry and hard working. Email jobs@republicrestoratives.com Operations Production: -brew, ferment and distill bourbon and rye -incorporate as many locally sourced ingredients as possible -ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests. -maintain an aggressive production schedule -maintain brewing, fermenting, distilling equipment -identify and order ingredients and equipment necessary for production (does not include spirits packaging) -collaborate with ownership on new product development -ongoing blending and proofing of spirits for new products Reporting -maintain daily production log -log all production and process using the stillhouse software -assemble monthly and quarterly operations reports that support the local, state and federal tax filing with the assistance of our business manager Administration -develop and update standard operating procedures for new and existing processes -hire and train assistant distillers -participate in distilling industry events, conferences and tours -represent Republic Restoratives at occasional industry events Salary commensurate with experience.
