  1. We were discussing a hypothetical situation today and I thought I would throw it out here to get everybody else's thoughts. We were wondering if a situation arose in which you purchased a finished product through a domestic company that originated in a foreign country, would it fall into column C or D of part IV on the production report? For example: Lets say a distillery was going out of business. They had imported some Russian vodka to sell and you wanted to purchase their remaining stock to sell it. I a wondering how this transaction would need to look in the eyes of the TTB. Is column B only for products that you have imported, or for any finished product that was imported? Is there another scenario in which you could purchase a finished foreign product from a domestic supplier for resale? Thanks, Chris 3030 www.threethousandthirty.com
  2. Hey all, I have a couple of questions on the processing report: - Part II: Finished Products, what constitutes a packaged product? - Under part IV C,D,E, and F Do you need to put packaged products in this category as well, or only bottled? If no, is there a location where finished packaged products go? Thanks, Chris 3030 www.threethousandthirty.com
  3. Thanks for the responses everybody. Makes sense. Essentially, if it is currently sitting in bottles then it is bottled and in the processing account, regardless of what the intentions are for it. Once we destroy it, etc then the appropriate entry must be made. Out of curiosity, how does something end up as R&D then?
  4. I have some Lemoncello that was made several months ago that did not meet our quality standards. It is currently bottled in warehouse and we have no plans for it at the moment. In doing some inventory reconciliation, I came across it and am trying to figure out what the proper designation for it is. It was originally written off as a total production loss, although I feel that it should have gone into the R&D category. Still having some left however, I am wondering where it fits into things. Does it need to go back into storage? Thanks, Chris Haag
