  1. Has anyone have recent experience dealing with the Georgia DOR? I am interested to know why they require a bond from an out of state producer in order to work with a Georgia distributor.
  2. Thank you all for your input. We are looking to make our Gin from a grain mash we ferment at the distillery and then run as a single distillation.
  3. We are looking into making gin as our next product but I am curious as to what are the general guidelines as to how much juniper and other botanicals are needed to add to the mash during distillation. We will be making our gin from a grain based mash. I appreciate any thoughts. Thank you!
  4. We are getting our distilling equipment from Germany (KOTHE) and the building department here in Yonkers, NY is requesting proof that the equipment meets U.S. safety standards and is certified in NYS and the United States. Has anyone on this forum encountered something similar with their local building department? Any comments, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Dorit
  5. Thanks for your input. They do want us to produce distilled spirits and want to take it to market and I agree this is where is gets very complicated.
  6. We are staring a new distillery and we have been approached by someone to produce a drink for them. They don't have a distribution license but have a liquor license for their restaurant. Does anyone had any experience with this or with contract bottling in general. Your comments are appreciated. Thanks, Dorit
