  1. @Denher Distillery, yes it is an old reel to reel. I'm still fumbling my around working out the sites limitations in regards to posting pics and image sizes. This one was a Holstien boiler upgrade project. The customer desired a boiler twice the size of his 300 litre version, this one is rated at 600 litres (1200 litres overall capacity) but I'm told they push it up to 800 litres when stripping. Its a nice feeling when a customer gets more than they expected. Its a full copper unit with an insulated steam jacket, it has all the bells and whistles usually associated with Holstein boilers. I'm having issues uploading the pics of a "Continuous Armagnac still" we manufactured, but I'll keep trying. It was a very interesting and unique project. #Metalcraft
  2. G'day from down under, nice to meet you all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been keen to meet you all, but I needed to get all my i's dotted and my t's crossed. I'm a still maker from down under. I don't profess to know much about owning a distillery, but I can make equipment for you and your needs. We concentrate on modular columns. There are others that can make exquisite pot stills, and others that are great at importing and marketing modified stainless dairy products from asian suppliers, but we concentrate on making high performance stills made entirely from copper, with as much local content as possible. We pride ourselves with making the highest performing modular stills on the market. This is the new age. We offer a still that can give you the full flavour and sulphide reduction properties only a copper still can offer. We also offer the only modular still on the market that has nothing but copper in the vapour path, via our unique pressed copper flanges. The only thing not copper is the sealing elements and you have your choice of preferred material here. Being based in Australia, we have the opportunity to supply you with a cost effective column (due to exchange rates) that can not only get your craft distillery up and running, but also give you flexibility in the product you can make. Our "modular" columns can be configured to allow you to make a full bodied earthy rum in the morning and make a high quality gin in a single pass in the afternoon. Our track record in regards to workmanship and quality is well known in the hobby circles. I feel the small guys deserve great service, as do the big guys. We have made everything from "Holstein" style full copper steam jacketed boilers to smaller 4" modular stills. Our recent 6" full copper pressed flange modular still has been a hit, due to its flexibility, ability, and good looks. It not only makes a range of products very well, but also looks good in a tourist orientated distillery. If you have a specific ideal on how a product should be made, maybe our gear isnt for you, we are embracing new ideas all the time. If you want a still thats both a whiskey, whisky, rum, brandy, vodka and gin still, then you might want to have a chat... More can be seen here http://coppercustomstillcomponents.com.au/wordpress/ and here http://www.coppercustomstillcomponents.com.au/phpBB3/index.php I make no bones that I've come from the hobby scene, but have also furnished quite a few serious legal distilleries here in Au. Everything from steam injection cookers , fermenters, and big ticket boilers. I apologise for the non photoshopped images, but it might give you an idea of what we can do for you. We are a workshop, not a computer touch up facility. Anyway, nice to meet you all.
