Packaging Manager:
This leadership position, with ample growth opportunity, will lead a highly skilled team in bottling, canning, and kegging with the daily task of packaging world class beer in accordance with quality and production goals. Experience with high-speed packaging lines is a must; particularly with rotary counter pressure can filler/seamers. This hands on position will be expected to lead by example and excel at not simply the work but management as well. This is a unique opportunity to come in on the ground floor of a great company in the Western U.S. at a senior position. Furthermore, this individual will have the opportunity to be a part of the design and install of a new multi-million dollar packaging line this Spring. Craft beer experience is preferred but relevant beverage industry packaging experience will be considered. Requirements:
3+ years relevant experience in a leadership role required, 5+ years preferred
Excellent management skills and proficiency in motivating others to accomplish goals
Keen communication skills in order to connect with the packaging team as well as maintenance, engineering, and senior management
Expert in rotary counter pressure can filling required
Expert in bottling strongly preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of kegging and all back end packaging equipment for cans and bottles
Experience with Orchestrated Beer a big plus
Experience with CIP processes and packaging quality control equipment and metrics
Ability to lift 30lbs repeatedly
Experience with scheduling, planning, staffing, and coordinating production schedules
Ability to both write and follow SOPs
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills strongly preferred
Ability to recognize visual audible cues signaling machinery performance issues in a fast-paced environment and communicate them immediately
Good sense of cleanliness and ownership with respect to keeping the packaging hall orderly
Ability to hold the Packaging Team accountable to safety standards and GMP requirements
