  1. We supply cullinary steam filters into the market and are supplied at 1 micron. To be considered cullinary, the filter cartridge must be max 3 microns and less.
  2. My system is based on the Click PLC and the C-More HMI. Reason ....... because surplus stock and lying around in my stores. I love the Direct logic PLC's so will always recommend it. HMI's, no would presently go for Weintek.
  3. We have just built a high end and extremely efficient unit which will go for performance testing later this month. The major characteristics of our unit are high flow, very high surface area for heat exchage as well as being designed for grain in mash chilling. Here's a pitcure straight out of production and prior to clean up and final fitting of attachments and controls.
  4. BUT..... you then do not have any safety interlocks and then this is super dangerous. I have programmed interlocks and in addition..... reduced power (my heating controller is 4-20mA), pressure monitoring, level monitoring, temperature monitoring with control and cooling water valve control.
  5. Only effective way to do this is by installing a PLC and with complete automation. Expensive because apart from all automation, process valves etc. , you now have to consider all Ex requirements as well. Here's a cropped part of my HMI heat up screen image

  7. Word of caution, that air is not 100% oil free. Rather add in coalescing filters to accompay the installation. This way you have a lot more security built in.

  11. I am in agreement with all and 100% support removal of Corson. I had prior read in another topic and within this forum a massive unwarranted attack on another vendor and this left me with the view that it must be controlled. This is how I feel. Lets leave it at that.

  14. Expensive build with all TC fittings. The majority of them can be removed.
  15. Two options whichever you feel more comfortable with ... 1. Swop two wires around of your three phase or, .. 2. Change direction of your VSD around in its setup.

  17. Hi Odin I am talking about essential oil distillation .... steam extraction of essential oils from plant materials ... for example see below.
  18. A question Odin .... Are you able to do essential oil distillation with your standard stills or how much of a variation is required. Some thoughts on this. ???
  19. If you have your steam guy coming in, try this as a last result / action ........ and only for testing to give you direction. Using a SS flexible steam hose, connect steam supply to the connection where the pressure relief valve is on lower jacket. If you heat up then as silk City mentioned, your problem was because of entrapped air. Cheapest solution to everything and you can then still use upper jacket for cooling.
  20. Somewhat different but shown for info only, I built a semi automatic filler for our carbonated cider production. The bottle is gripped, inverted and rinsed. Here I used chlorine dioxide which is great as a sterilant leaves no taint. BF sale.mp4

Just for info, Those supplied safety valves are combination over pressure relief as well as vacuum relief. w.r.t over pressure relief their standard is generally 1 bar (~15 PSI) BUT I have seen some with lower values. This is all to do with internal spring sizing. That said, these are not calibrated valves and are at best approximate. The big danger with these valves is that the vented product exits from the side ports and is a danger to anyone in close proximity. The vent needs to be directed down to a safe area.
  22. Your over pressure relief valve ... Safety pressure release valve for steam jacket at connection ... N5-1. For gods sake go and immediately change it for a proper steam pressure relief valve. Someone is going to get VERY HURT if that goes off and they are standing next to it.
  23. Okay here's a shot left answer ..... have you possibly got a scale build up within the MT jacket that is cause a blockage. If so you may need to look at some cleaning agent working in reverse flow through the jacket to break this all down.
