  2. Yup.... they seem like a good deal until the epoxy cracks, then, once you decide to repair them your cost will be way over stainless... everyone wants to save $, but there is reason the stainless works... and its only cost a lot once.......
  3. Hey David, Look us up at the ADI conference at the Global Stainless Systems booth!!
  4. I would like to introduce myself and my company. I'm Steve Hambly, my company is Global Stainless Systems Inc. We are manufactures of stainless and copper tanks, stills, mash tuns, and accessory equipment. I have been in the tank fabrication world for some time now working mostly the last 15 years on breweries and a bit for distilleries. We are branching out now, and are very excited about it, into a higher level with distilleries. Lee Medoff of Bull Run distillery is working with us to improve our designs and get us going in the right direction for making the equipment highly functional, nice to look at and not full of bells and whistles. Our Web site will be active soon so that will give a better description of what we are about. We look forward to meeting a lot of you, having a lot of fun, and watching this craft grow. Steve Hambly
  5. Hey John, There are many ways to separate the solids but the easiest, most efficient is a mash tun. You can use this tank to convert your mash, then run off to your fermenter. The tank has a false bottom which will separate the solids and it has a door on the side to rake out the solids after you have completed the runoff. Once the grain has converted the solids have no more to add to your product, they are just taking up space. I am an equipment manufacture and have been making tuns and kettles for quite some time now, so give a call if you would like to discuss this in more detail. Steve Hambly 503-407-8514
