  3. I thought I would share this blog post our content strategist, Clare wrote about reviews.

How To Get More Reviews For Your Distillery & Why

"Often distilleries shy away from asking customers for reviews. The fear is that an increase in online reviews may mean more negative reviews as well as positive ones. However, reviews in general are far too valuable to ignore. In fact, reviews result in an 18% lift in sales on average."

  4. Anyone know a label company willing to do a short-run of labels to start? We could get some printed locally but ideally we'd like to build a relationship with one company for the labels once a full order can be placed. Thanks in advance!

  5. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I would hear friends say,” I read in the news that the alcohol industry is booming!” Sure, the big guys were doing well as masked customers hurried into liquor stores and purchased their trusted big brands. As I’m sure you’ve felt and seen, the craft spirits industry, on the other hand, was one of the hardest-hit industries during the pandemic.

With light at the end of the tunnel, you may have already opened up your distillery tasting room, but have you checked in on your digital marketing?

Here’s a step-by-step digital marketing guide for re-opening your craft spirits tasting room to help boost your company’s visibility and foster brand loyalty online.

  6. Hello there! We're creating a map to help connect womxn in the distilling industry. We also hope this can be an asset to the press, and consumers hoping to support minority-affiliated spirits companies. We're mapping Woman Owned, 50% Woman Owned, Women on Exec team, BIPOC, LGBTQ, Woman Distiller, and more.

  7. Over at High-Proof Creative we recently updated a blog post about working with social media influencers. Has your distillery worked with people on social media?

We were surprised to find that micro-influencer engagement succeeded that of celebrities last year, and audiences see micro-influencers as more authentic and believable than collaborators with a high following.

What has your experience been, good or bad?

  8. Thanks for recommending us, Kris! High-Proof Creative is a marketing and branding agency I launched in 2018 after spending nearly 10 years writing about the beverage world and working in marketing firms in other industries.

Everything we do is custom because after spending years in the industry I realized no company is the same, and there's opportunity to have a lot of fun with branding and marketing that sets companies apart from one another.

I'm looking for a creative, slightly quirky and irreverent marketing firm/team to collaborate on developing our marketing strategy, communications, press releases, etc.

anyone have any suggestions of any firms that aren't going to take the same formula used 100 times with 100 other distilleries and plug and play my brand?
