I have been reading your posts and have learnt a lot about the distillation of gin.
I have a question about louching: do any distilleries use surfactants to reverse the louche? The video I linked below shows the Ouzo effect (louching) and then the reversal with the addition of a detergent surfactant which must reduce the surface tension and cause the oils to be re-dissolved, I am guessing. Is this viable for commercial gins or would a commercial surfactant impart too much off-flavour (soapy taste?) to the gin to be of any benefit. Or are there other surfactants that would no
