  1. Sorry for the late reply. We got a letter as well. My guess is that the mailing list came from the ADI or could be the TTB list of licensed distilleries on their website. It does have all of our addresses. http://www.ttb.gov/foia/frl.shtml It reminds me of a neighbor I had growing up that sent a letter to a bunch (100's) of celebrities telling them that the autographed picture he got from them at such and such a place got ruined in the Des Moines floods of the late 90's. The guy had good success getting a bunch of autographed pics. He also had way too much time on his hands. Some peoples kids eh?
  2. We are looking for closures for the Tam Tam Bottle. Specifically a screw cap that is a CT 400/33 color of Pantone Red 21-015 or close. I know it's a long shot, but I thought I would try. Regards, Rob
  3. Sorry it took us a while to join the list, but please add current producer: Colorado Pure Distilling, Lakewood CO Regards, Rob Masters
  4. We use the Label Matic II from Dispensamatic. Works great for round bottles with front and back labels. http://www.propacksolutions.com/Dispensama...bottlematic.htm
  5. All, For those of us who have been back and forth with the TTB over label approval there is someone who feels our pain. Robert Lehrmen at Bev Law has re-vamped his website to include a blog about all the crazy COLA's that go across the TTB desk. Believe it or not he has people that watch all the COLAs via the public COLA database. They take what they find most interesting and post it to the blog. It's a great way to see what is new and what other people may be doing. They find some crazy stuff. Check it out. http://www.bevlaw.com/bevlog/ BTW. At the risk of sounding like I am plugging Bev Law, I am going to plug Bev Law. We use Robert and staff for all of our COLA submissions and he has proven very valuable for all of our products.
  6. I forgot to add that he said: "the 5000 is "only" $22,280." Rob
  7. Not trying to beat a dead horse, or show anyone up, but I wanted to know the answer to the correction question so I emailed our rep. Here is the reply he sent: "The 35n does correct for temperature, however unlike the benchtop units, it does not control the temperature of the sample. Meaning, the 35n will measure the temp and density, then refer to a table programmed into the unit to cross reference the two. Because the handheld does not measure the temp or density as accurately as the benchtop, there is a larger level of uncertainty. " Hope this helps everyone. Rob
  8. One of the best purchases I have made for out distillery is an Anton Paar DMA. I have been told that the TTB uses the large version the 5000 ($30,000) We don't have that kind of flow right now, so we bought it's little brother the 35N handheld (roughly $2500). It's a great little tool and has really helped me get things dialed in here. Our contact guy is Tom Carson. thomas.carson@anton-paar.com He flew out and showed us how everything works. Great guy! 9. Hello from Denver, I am the Distiller at Colorado Pure Distilling. We are located in Lakewood, CO (just west of Downtown Denver) We specialize in creating private label brands for customers wanting small batches of hand crafted spirits. We received our DSP in January and have been distilling since February. I am excited to meet more distillers and learn about the ups and downs everyone else has experienced. Rob Masters
