  1. Doing some fermentation experiments. If you are interested, give me a buzz. I have a small still I might be interested in selling, too, if you are looking to get something going yourself.

  2. Sorry I never saw your inquiry. I would love to grab a beer any time. I am building in Kunia, so close to you. Call me at 224-7505.

  3. I wanted to get some clarification on CFR 27 when looking at the online version. It looks like parts 1-39 are the areas that pertain distilleries and alcohol. Are there any other sections that I should be reading and studying? Thanks.
  4. I did a goggle search and found a new business in the Portland,OR area called indulge spirits LLC. The phone number also shows up as the Portland area on google although I haven't connected the two as the same entity. Hope this helps. Forgot to add that Indulge Spirits appears to be a wine and liquor store.
  5. Tried to pm you a while back but didn't go through. Would love too meet and maybe pick your brain over a beer sometime. Live in wahiawa but work at Kahe power plant. Where are you setting up shop?

  6. Let me know what you come up with and what the TTB says about it. That would allow more people to get their foot in the door.
  7. One alternative is to sell barrel share/futures where customers can buy bottles of future releases. This might be a harder sell for an untested company and product. There is also one distillery that I know of that sells age your own whiskey kits. You get several bottles of white dog with a small barrel and the customer does the rest. They sell sizes all the way up to 53 gallon barrels.
  8. So I need to ask a question in here. Isn't the difference between vodka and neutral spirits the extra step of filtering it? If all you are doing is distilling it to 190 proof then isn't that by definition a neutral spirit? By that logic everclear can also be considered vodka. It's not because it doesn't go through the filtering step.
  9. Just curious. Would this happen to be the Sammy Hagar line of rum I just read about in the paper?
  10. Just wanted to say hello. Been reading the forum for a while and got a lot of good info here. I am currently thinking about starting a distillery here on Oahu but I am only in the could I should I, will the wife go for it stage. Thanks for having me.
