  1. I would be concerned about the heat. I have had corks blow off of a couple of bottles at Farmer's Markets when the heat is closing in on 100 degrees (one bottle even cracked--but I think it must have had a flaw in it). I use wood t-tops and a heat shrink capsule. As a result, we don't do markets anymore when the heat exceeds 95 degrees. We keep our storage at under 90 and have not had any issues.
  2. Hi Karen I use Windwalker out of Wisconsin and have done so at the recommendation of my designers, who are in Detroit. I have tried other printerss, trying to get better pricing and shorter lead time, but Windwalker consistently outperforms everyone else I have tried. They do excellent work and are reasonably priced. There must be SOMEBODY in Portland, though, right?? Ha let me know if you find someone. Michael Moran Vice President WindWalker mike.moran@windwalker.net Office: 330-336-5459 Cell: 574-400-3653
  3. Update--I heard back from WS and they said the Business Development module WAS still available--as an add on for $75/month. But, as a courtesy, they are letting me use it free for 6 months. Woo-hoo. Getting COGs and profit margin information from your "full-featured" $325/month software program should not COST EXTRA. They should just include it.
  4. I have been using Whiskey Systems since we started in 2018. After their first big price increase I downgraded to a basic subscription and gave up some tools I really appreciated. With the latest increase I did the year-long contract to get the better pricing and thought that would buy my way back in to all the premium features I used to enjoy. Of special interest to me were the "Business Development" tools that helped determine pricing and profit margins, particularly for new products. Well guess what, those are features "were removed" and Whiskey Systems told me if I want them back I can pay special development fees to recreate them for my distillery. What a crock. WS won't generate costs from a product master and recipe, only from bottled goods! All the data is there of course, but after paying $325/month I still have to do a bunch of number crunching to extract the data for which I previously got by selecting a report. Bugger off to Whiskey Systems. They simply do not care about their smaller customers, which you can tell from their pricing--they add a least $0.42 cents per bottle (if you do up to 1900 PGs--more if less than that) and $0.0590 per bottle for 95,100 PGs. Kind of sickening and obvious, really. @Kindred Spirits can you DM me with your spreadsheet deal, too? I need to get the hell out of WSs.
  5. I have 397 cases of bottles and 4,066 matching black Kerr screw tops for sale. Schematics for the bottle attached. My cost excluding shipping: bottles @ 95 cents each and screw tops at 8 cents = $4,525.80+325.28 = $4,851.08 I am out of the 1 liter category and need the room these bottles are occupying. No reasonable offer refused. FOB Newberg OR. bev.root@ewingyoungdistillery.com 503-799-6667 1.0L Standard Round-SH.PDF
