  1. Have a bunch of Kerr type (28-350) bottles. Wondering if there are any Ropp machines that can possibly work on them as we are looking to make the packaging a little nicer with a different cap. Thanks!
  2. Hello! I'm trying to get samples to prospective distributors and retailers to try out of state. What is the normal legit practice to do this? We have a fedex license already but does that make it legal for us to send samples? I'm guessing not so what other way is there ?
  3. Hello! How do you all usually handle give aways and promos in a 3 tiered state Say a local bar that carries your stuff you want to help promo a trivia night. What is allowed? Can you give away say bottle openers , shot glasses too?
  4. Hello All, We got one of those gravity type fillers that has a hose port on the bottom. Didn't get a pump with it because it was $$. Are there pumps you guys can recommend that might work well with it? Our idea was to just use one of the smaller pumps we have in the distillery and hook it up to a dead mans switch and go at it from there.
  5. After getting your licenses and you can finally distill, how do taxes and cost work when testing and trying to get feedback? Do you just remove it out of bond and can have friends / family / professionals do a few tasting while you try out your recipes? I can't find any exact literature around it.
  6. Thanks @Jedd Haas Both situations (Georgia btw) 1) Making it in one non-contiguous expansion and transferring (though we'll be able to make at both) 2) Buying from a bulk seller to expand initial range at tasting room
  7. Hello! This might be a different by state question but here goes. (Btw we have two locations because unfortunately the original ended up not being as much room as we had hope due to landlord pulling some stuff last minute...) We are looking to open a spirits tap room sometime in the next year. But currently we only really produce Vodka. We would like to have a variety for customers to try initially but probably won't have the time to get some good brown liquor going before open. I've seen on here and know that some people buy from OEM / producers. For states that have the serve what you make law, would I not be allowed to serve that at the tasting room? If our primary plant has the main production equipment and the tasting room (just a mile away) had a still for tasting room customers. Can I not sell bottles produced at the plant? If I run out of spirit from the still in the tasting room can I supplement from the main? Could I possibly bring low wines over to finish the strip? Thanks all!
  8. Hello, How does a distillery sell private label? For example makers mark has a private label program for companies to buy a “add staves” to your own barrel etc etc that a customer can I guess bottle and sell? How does this work in states that are three tier? Or do you not need a license to bottle and sell in that way?
  9. Hey all, I've read some about it but was wondering if anyone has experience with open top fermenters? I'm in a situation where they are all I can get and was wondering if there is any reasons I would be handicapping myself if I used them.
