Sales Manager Dread River Distilling Co., Alabama’s largest and most product-diverse distillery, is looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to help promote our brand and increase sales throughout the state of Alabama. The ideal candidate has a considerable sales background and/or extensive experience in the hospitality industry, a proven track record of developing and growing relationships with both on and off-premise customers, and is a self-starter with an ambitious personality and a history of sales success. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly-changing environment while working independently and achieving data-supported results. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships are must. Success in the role will require working the market daily, boldly starting conversations, and having a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will be open to change and will create/embrace innovative ideas to increase sales. We are a small, passionate team and are searching for a candidate who is willing to work hard, take on new challenges, have fun and be an ambassador for the Dread River brand. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or GED Must have flexible work hours and travel as needed Must have a valid Alabama Drivers License Preferred sales experience or experience in the hospitality industry Confident, professional, self-starter who is looking to be a part of an exciting and challenging environment Must be able to collaborate with a small team, as well as work independently Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to move products and fulfill other physical requirements including: repetitive lifting, bending, pulling and pushing. Capable of lifting up to 40lbs. Must be located in the state of Alabama with the ability to travel statewide Proficient in using online communication tools and etiquette such as email, Hubspot, texting etc. Responsibilities To regularly call on new and established accounts within a specified territory, promoting and selling the full range of Dread River spirits Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust Must develop an extensive knowledge of the products and company Have the ability to speak with proficiency to new and existing accounts about anything regarding the products/business Communicate and maintain relationships with distributors Participate in regular tasting events, sponsored events, distillery tours, product launches, and company events. You are the outward face of the company. Focus on increasing sales revenues by placing products in new accounts, on menus, and increasing current portfolios at existing accounts.   3. Seeking Head Distiller We are looking for an experienced Head Distiller to join our team at Dread River Distilling Co. in Birmingham, AL. Dread River Distilling Co. is the largest distillery in Birmingham and the most product diverse distillery in the state of Alabama. We are a small close knit team of creative, hard-working, passionate individuals. Our focus is distilling and blending spirits such as Whiskey, Rye, Gin, Agave, Rum, Vodka, and Bourbon. We recently released the first commercially distilled Bourbon (legally) in Birmingham in 100 years. We are focusing on building a robust Bourbon inventory and would love to keep pushing the boundaries and get creative with our products. Because we are a craft distillery, we are looking for someone who has the ability to take charge and lead, work well with others, problem-solve, and not be afraid to find a way to yes and push the boundaries. The Head Distiller is responsible for assisting in all tasks and challenges of operating the production at the distillery. The Distiller position is responsible for completing the daily procedures related to the production of all our spirits including brewing, distilling, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and accurate record keeping. The Distiller will play a key role and assist in leading our production team as we continue to grow as a company through our planned increased production, additional staffing and investments in new equipment and production facilities. Requirements Minimum 2-years' experience in distilling Experience in production planning Manage Barrel aging programs, sample procedures, tasting and blending Maintain organization in the production facility and keep equipment maintained Attention to detail and operate distilling equipment in a safe manner Ability to lift 50+lbs Must be able to use distillery software such as Whiskey Systems Confident, professional, self-starter who is looking to be a part of an exciting and challenging environment Must be 21+ years of age Salary and Benefits: Salary negotiable depending upon experience Fully paid Health Insurance - for full-time position 10 days PTO 401k Position available immediately.
