  1. Im a little confused on the various grades of GNS. As it was previously determined that purchasing GNS would be the best/most cost affective way to start off since our products are liqueurs, I am unsure what to price and include in the business plan. For example, if you look here: http://www.grainprocessing.com/alcohol/alcform.html What is the difference between the Grain Neutral Spirits and 190 Proof Pure Ethyl Alcohol ?? Which would be the correct one to use? Or, if you look here: http://www.ultrapure-usa.com/pages/products.html I would assume "190 Proof Ethyl Alcohol, USP Grade" would be the way to go, is that correct? I appreciate all of the help that this forum is providing!!
  2. You have a point there. The idea was to have the still to expand to other products in the future, but I suppose it would be just as effective to start with purchased GNS, and purchase a still when the time comes to expand. Thanks for the suggestion, im going to check the distilling directory for suppliers.
  3. I have a related question. As our primary product would be infused liqueurs, we only require the production of high proof neutral grain spirit. Assuming we want to produce 1000+ gallons of NGS a month, at 190 proof, is a column reflux still our best option when considering cost/efficiency. Furthermore, what kind of cost (approximate) would we be looking at for this type of still?
  4. My apologies for being so vague, I've updated my profile. We are in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Any question you may have for me, I would be more than happy to answer! Thanks, Dave
  5. Hello all. Myself and a friend have been producing our own liqueurs, and have come up with some very unique and great tasting flavors. We would like to take them to the next level, which would be producing and selling them. We are currently working on a business plan, and though the site and forum have been a great resource thus far, we still have many questions. However, I will post those to the appropriate forums as need be. Thanks, Dave
