Working in concert with the rest of the Distillery team, make sure all SOP's are closely followed and meet or exceed our quality standards.   9. Long Island Spirits is expanding its “Farm to Bottle” distillery and seeking a unique individual to become its new “Head Distiller”. Founded in 2007, the Distillery is surrounded by over 5,000 acres of farms, in the heart of the acclaimed wine region on the picturesque North Fork of Long Island and just minutes from the world famous Hamptons. Long Island Spirits is seeking a Head Distiller as it expands its Distribution both Nationally and Internationally. The Head Distiller will need to perform and lead the daily distillery and warehouse tasks in conjunction with a small team performing multiple operations within the production facility. Jimmy you should discuss setting up at least 2 formal Agreements a Share Holder Agreement, that describes the value and interest in the Company and how you operate at the Corporate Level and additionally an Operational Agreement that specifies you and your partners working role within the Company....Perhaps you should discuss with your partner that you have invested 10% which is your present value (it sounds like), but then there is a percentage earn (whatever you agree to with your partner) in each year so your partner can be assured that you won't walk and you are motivated to stay for more equity each year....The point I think all these great posts here are making is whatever you do it needs to be in writing....Good luck!

You must be a rare mix of creative and administrative as you will be called upon to manage all aspects of the Distillery Operations and both pioneer and replicate exciting spirits, in addition to managing the Distillery, including scheduling, maintaining compliance (including tracking TTB documentation and audit coordination), managing suppliers, etc. Long Island Spirits is seeking a reliable person who is extremely detail and quality oriented, takes a sense of pride in their work and who is passionate about making world class spirits that will grow the brand. Experience with regulatory issues and documentation, compliance and audits are quite helpful. The highly motivated candidate will possess a combination of technical training and practical experience sufficient to meet the demands of our anticipated brand growth through the distilling of innovative products. The process of mashing and distilling is a physical one; the successful distillery manager must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk/bend on a continual basis. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is mandatory.
