  1. That sounds awesome. Do you have some photos you could share of the setup?
  2. We have a cane farm in Florida. What type of liquid cane sugar?
  3. All good. I’m not planning to research European rum laws. We move almost all of our stuff right here in the USA & Canada eh!. If anyone needs any let me know. Pretty well at sold out @ capacity for the next couple months (damn COVID) but would love to discuss. Europeans (apparently) and most Americans are missing out. Cheers!
  4. Correct there are dozens of distilleries using it. We have folks buying full truckloads 40,000 lbs+ at a time. It is evaporated into a syrup, then dried into blocks (and/or grinded). It is very similar to syrup except with an infinite shelf life which is important in warm/tropical climates.
  5. We have been distributing Panela for 10 years, and can give you plenty of information. Message me. Not sure on the EU regulations but a lot of people are using it all over the USA and worldwide. Not sure why it would not be rum though? It’s simply dehydrated cane juice from sugar cane. No different than molasses would be a biproduct. Molasses is used in something like 97% of rum out there so maybe folks want an alternative, and don’t live in cane country (like us in Florida that can source fresh pressed juice from our farm) that want something different. Cane juice goes bad in 24 hours so Panela is the closest alternative. Just my $.02
  6. We make Panela. Located in Florida for pickup or also ship.
  7. I have some 180 fresh dumped 53 gal rum barrels. Pm me
  8. We have panela in the USA, and ship out as small as 25 kg bags to full containers. Sugardaddypanela@gmail.com
  9. We produce sugar cane juice or panela. Please see the attached photo. Panela is nothing like non-GMO sugar, brown sugar or molasses for those that have tried it. We are family-owed and have distribution on both coasts and the Midwest. We offer Certified Organic as well as non-Certified product. Please contact me at: Sugardaddypanela@gmail.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCCuRYLYfBY

  12. Emailed you a couple hours ago regarding the order, Chris. We are set. Panela available now in Southern California. Thanks for the comments Chris & Anthony. I have not heard it yet compared to tequila, but there are quite a few aging still. Cheers
  13. The Caribbean produces (and consumes) the majority of the panela in the world. Country of origin varies by producer.
