  1. Wondering if there are common errors that result in needing to resubmit labels for approval? We're getting ready to submit our Vodka label (our first product) and would love to avoid any delays if possible. Thank you - hoping your answers are helpful to others as well... 2. What is the preferred method of obtaining UPC bar codes for product bottles? Thanks for any experiences and advice. -Amy Durango Craft Spirits
  3. 68 days!!! Submitted August 23rd. Only problem now is that I cannot find our DSP approval online nor our DSP number. We received instructions to go to supporting documents to find it, but all we see are the documents WE uploaded with our application. Any ideas on where to find our approved documents? Thank you, Amy Durango Craft Spirits PS - Turns out the email in our log-in didn't match our contact number causing a disconnect!! If your email changes be sure to change in in the log-in information too!
  4. We received an email today that says our DSP Permit Application was approved! However, the email instructions tell us to log on, search our tracking number, go to Supporting Docs and click on the appropriate documents. The only documents are those that WE uploaded with our application. How do we find our accepted application? Will it take awhile to upload? And we are on day 68. Thanks for any help - really want to get going on the COLA!! Amy Durango Craft Spirits PS - Turns out the email address in the log in information was our old email address (from when we started this process) and was different from our contact email causing a disconnect. Got it fixed and all is good! So, if you change emails, be sure to update in the original log in information box!
  5. We will be (still waiting for our DSP 18 day after being submitted for approval) distilling vodka grain to glass in our facility. We have heard conflicting answers on whether we need to have our formula approved. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you, Amy Durango Craft Spirits
  6. Thank you County Seat - that was very helpful!!!
  7. Do apply for COLA online registration, do I have to wait for my DSP number, or can I use my tracking number to get the process rolling? Our DSP was sent for final approval 12 days ago, so I hope we are close... Thank you for any advice on COLA and formula processes! Amy Durango Craft Spirits
  8. Just heard from our reviewer and she has sent our application forward for approval (day 47) and said if we don't get notice of approval in two weeks to contact her. Any idea how long this last step usually takes?
  9. Wow - congratulations and that is very encouraging! Our reviewer sounds like the one described above (initial J, female) that a lot of folks are having trouble with which is concerning. BUT, she has been easy to reach and very responsive whenever I have called her. She is on vacation right now and on Tuesday I will call her as we sent her a revised drawing with a POB of JUST the bonded area as she requested. I think that was the last bit of info she needed from us. We are at day 42. What can we expect from here.....
  10. Could we rent out our Tasting Room to an office of professionals for an office party if they bring in their own liquor and food and only pay us a rental fee for the space? We are considering this for the holiday season if our DSP doesn't come in before that?
  11. I can't seem to paste, but I did find on the TTB FAQ FMB35 that you can offer tastings before a formula is approved, so I guess that means yes to tastings before label too!
  12. We were hoping to open December 1st, but our hopes are not too high on that right now due to the DSP, COLA process. If our Tasting Room is ready, can we rent it out for holiday parties, meetings, etc. if people wanted to bring in their own alcohol and food that we would NOT be selling? We would simply get the rental fee. Thank you for any thoughts, experiences or resources to get definitive answers on this! Thank you! Durango Craft Spirits
  13. StonesRyan - we're one or two steps behind you - do you mind letting us know how many days it took to get "Approval Recommended"? Xananx is my choice of anxiety quelling aid!
  14. We submitted our DSP application a couple of weeks ago. Our status is still pending. How long should we be pending before we are accepted? Anyone remember this phase of the application process? Thank you! Amy Durango Craft Spirits
  15. We finally got to the last section of the DSP application!!!! And of course we have a few questions: Under Statements and Documents, it is requesting (based on our application): Source of Funds Documentation. What is it they want, exactly? Bank statements? Organizational Documents (3 times): Operating Agreement, Lease, Articles of Organization from our state? I'm just guessing here.... If anyone can help me with these last items I would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance!
  16. In the bond application phase of our journey... It appears that we should file a for a Unit Bond to include Operations and Withdrawal coverage? Is that correct? Also, if anyone has any advice on calculating operations coverage vs. withdrawal coverage, that would also be helpful. Thank you!!!
  17. We just happened upon the Application for Basic Permit. Does this permit need to be filed in addition to the DSP application? What is the proper timeline? Thank you!!!
  18. Just found out that my brother-in-law, a 20% ownership member of our LLC has a couple traffic violations - speeding caught on cameras in Arizona. We are just about to send in our DSP app and state liquor license application. Will these traffic violations be an issue with the feds? We are trying to decide if we need to scramble to raise enough capital to bring him down to a 9% ownership member as we don't want to find out a month from now that we have to start over!! Any advice would be very much appreciated!!!! Thank you.
  19. Does anyone have a source for flasks, Moscow mule mugs, etc with logo with minimums of 50 or below? Thank you!
  20. We just ordered hats to sell in our Tasting Room and shop but not sure how I am going to display them. Any ideas? Sources for affordable hat racks?
  21. We are not up and running yet, but have decided to go with ShopKeep which is an ipad based program. $49 per month, no contract. We are also going to run IntelRetail in conjunction for QuickBooks integration.
  22. How much do you all sell shot glasses for in your tasting room?
  23. I am getting ready to open my shop and need to order glassware and flasks with our logo. Would love to hear some vendor recommendations! Does anyone sell flasks, etc without logos? Thank you in advance!
  24. I read some very positive reviews regarding square and its integration into QuickBooks on this forum. However, when I read reviews online regarding the square/quickbooks integration, I read some very negative reviews. Many users said that square only sent quickbooks very basic sales numbers and a lot of figures had to be input by hand. Has anyone had any disappointments with the integration of the two programs? Any other recommended POS systems? Thank you!
