  1. I have seen on many distillers' (and brewery) websites the need, as a user, to confirm your birthdate and that you are over the age of 21. Is this a federal law, a state law, or a requirement at all? Thank you for any info you have on this issue!
  2. Do the Feds put any regulations on food service, complimentary food offerings or food sales in our Tasting Room? Or is it only local health boards that are concerned with the serving and selling of food items? Thank you in advance!
  3. But the TTB does not regulate food offerings/sales?
  4. I am wondering if there are any general rules by which we need to abide by when it comes to serving food in our tasting rooms? It is apparent, as we have seen it a lot, that we are welcome to offer complimentary snacks - pretzels, nuts, etc. Can you sell food packaged food items (we are from a big craft community with craft nuts, chips, etc and wondering if we could sell locally made packaged snacks)? Can you prepare snacks at home and offer them to guests complimentary - spiced nuts, snack mixes? Could we prepare dishes such as veggies, hummus, cheese plate and sell for a small cost? Thank you for any information on rules, guidelines and any creative ideas....
  5. Thank you - those replies are very helpful!!! Still curious about others experiences.
  6. We are trying to decide who to list as personal references on our permit application.. Do references always get called? What types of questions are asked? Thanks for the insight - just trying to choose the most appropriate references. Thank you!!!
  7. Did you ever find an answer to this question? Where do we find the list of businesses contained in 19.54? We are (planning) moving into a space adjoining a dance studio. Thank you for any info you can share.
  8. Our accountant just posed the following question to us: If a volunteer slips on your distillery floor and hurts him/herself, are you liable legally? We honestly never thought of that (we are not yet open). Do volunteers sign some sort of waiver?
