Palmetto Distillery is on the move again! We are looking for a bright, energetic individual with marketing, event planning, branding experience to take on the word of hand-made craft liquors! We are on the hunt for an experienced detail oriented Marketing Manager to join our team. Strong knowledge of the beverage/spirits industry highly desired. Palmetto Distillery is one of South Carolina’s fastest growing companies. With that said, we are looking for a career minded sharp individual who can handle the demands of a quickly expanding brand. This includes, but is not limited to, handling press requests, generating new press, determining new PR/advertising opportunities, placing our company in high-profile events and executing some events, social media outreach, using metrics to analyze marketing impacts, and contributing to all brand initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Gain and maintain on-going understanding of retail trade and relevant industries (spirits, music, sports, entertainment, etc.), and knowledge/understanding of liquor consumers and lifestyle.
Participate with Senior Management and provide input in the overall brand planning and development processes.
Contribute with the ANALYSIS and understanding of key business variables, including:
Brand sales and trends
Some blogging experience
Brand health and creative evaluation
Brand profitability
Financial and budget awareness
Manage promotion and sponsorship agency resources against the development of agreed to activities
Work with brand teams to understand and deliver the desired brand experience and business impact
Promotional plans will include on/off premise retail activities, promotional-themed media support, on-line activities, public relations, event execution and other components as relevant.
Conduct post-promotion evaluation of all promotions to ensure continuous learning and improvement.
Coordinate the development of promotional consumer concepts and communicate
Work with the merchandising and logistics team to manage the development of consumer and channel relevant point of sale support material ensuring active input from regional marketing.
Work with Senior Management to the development and execution of an internal communication plan for employees, distributors and the trade.
Manage the execution of sponsorship opportunities in line with brand platforms and strategies.
Participate with the on-going management, execution and communication of sponsorship initiatives/events.
Contribute to business cases for proposed sponsorships to gain management team approval and ensure annual post-evaluations to ensure continuous learning and improvement.
Manage and maintain all web products, orders and updating information for a word press site
Handle all social media (facebook, twitter,Instagram,etc.)
Handle all Email blasts and text advertising
Reporting all analytics on a weekly basis
Maintaining and updating media kits for all products
BACKGROUND / Experiences:
2 years of related work experience - Marketing/Agency Experience specifically in managing event activation and digital projects.
