  1. Of those who purchased a Corson Mash/Lauter Tun, did you receive a spec diagram? If you have one, would you please share? While it's a long shot, I'm trying to make this one work and avoid purchasing another mash tun.
  2. Looking for a semi automatic neck labeling solution to place a wrap around label on the neck of the bottle? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  3. If you're looking to start a distillery, buy ours and get ahead quick, rather than waiting for years of filing paper work, researching equipment, product development, and label/recipe approvals. Due to some unforeseen family medical issues we are selling the business We just won a double gold for our Brandy, and have a total of 4 products on the market. We have two brandies, a vodka and a gin all distilled from apples. We are located in Montana, but the distillery could be moved anywhere. All of our equipment is copper and stainless steel was bought brand new in 2017. Everything was

The degree o
  7. Looking for a good home for a dependable still. I'm looking to get is sold as quickly as possible. I need to get it off my friend's floor so he can install his own equipment. He's been nice enough to store it for me! I had been saving it in case I got back into the industry, but I've decided to stick with my day job! Still Description: The still is a Series 2 Bain Marie Style Artisan Still from Artisan Still Design. It originally cost $85K new. It was used primarily as a stripping and finishing still to make whiskey, gin, and even small batch vodka. 150 GL double
  8. So, we have stills (700 Gallon Stripping/300 Gallon Hybrid Pot Still), a boiler, fermentation tanks, a diaphragm pump, a small bottling line and an RO system. But really, that’s all we have at this point. We’re going to be primarily focused on whiskey production. I’m a very recent (about a month) crossover from the brewing world and have set up quite a few breweries in the past, but this isn’t very similar in my experience thus far. I could literally set up a brewery in no time, but I feel like I’m struggling here a bit with the task of identifying everything we need. If anyone has any time,

  16. Any advice on cleaning bubble plates without CIP? I just got a new 4 bubble plate column and am wondering best way to clean it between runs? I will be running the same product (whiskey off grain) almost daily so not worried about taste of the product coming through in the next batch. Do I need to take the plates off to remove the liquid in the bottom and clean each time? I talked to some folks who said they dismantle and run theirs in a dishwasher. Would running water with cleaner (caustic or acid) through the column following the run and then running clean water through th

  19. Hi all, Does anyone have a good, affordable recommendation for a bottle supplier who does custom embossing? I want to have a small logo embossed on the upper part of my bottle similar to where Reyka has its embossing (pictured below). Thanks!
  20. Okay here’s one for the peanut gallery. We are still acquiring our equipment and my question is: what has been the biggest waste of money for a piece of equipment...namely because it was useless. Concersely, what is the most valuable piece of that you may not have initially planned to buy or didn’t realize how useful it would be. Thanks in advance.
  21. I'm starting up a (very) micro distillery and looking for a solution for an electric stripping still. We're going to be distilling off-grain with electric heat to start to avoid the need for a boiler system. I've got my spirit still sizing/sourcing figured out but I'm having trouble sorting out where to buy/source my stripping still. I need 1000L capacity minimum and I'm trying to avoid a bain marie style still. Most companies I've talked to are recommending not to use electric elements in the stripping still to avoid scorching, but I know people who are using electric with low watt densi

  25. My systems are all electric, so separation is a must. At the moment, I have a way to separate via a press, but the press requires a hiccup in the process flow while it is filled/pressed/emptied. I would love to have a Russell Finex machine, but 20k (as I hear they cost) is not a doable number right now. I know Dehner started a thread about a version of this that he is designing, but does anyone know of a secondary market for equipment like this? Are there any other manufacturers making something like this for a lower price? Alternatively, for those unable to distill on grain, how are you se
