    Organic Bitter Almond

Hi Has anyone managed to source Organic Bitter Almond? I'm based in the UK but any supplier or source suggestions are welcome! Thanks
  2. Hi all, I'm just starting up and intend to certify my spirits as organic. I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this process and are willing to discuss what it takes to become certified organic (feel free to give your input in this forum as well). Specifically, I have questions about: What do you use to clean equipment? What's acceptable to use to increase or decrease mash pH? To label as "organic", you need 95% of the ingredients, by weight or volume, to be organic. I'm assuming that when making gin, the botanicals would not need to be organic if the raw grain used to make the base spirit is organic. Is that a correct assumption? I will appreciate any information you all can offer. Thanks!
  3. Looking to source New York grown grains, anyone who is or has any reliable distributors? Very much appreciated. Would also be seeking New York made bulk gns/whiskey/rye for blending. Cheers!

  5. Let me share a reflection . I wonder whether there is scope for improvement or growth expectations for organic whisky or any other organic spirit. Also for Kosher. Would love to read your comments. Thanks.
  6. Our Absinthe Herb farm is finally established here in Colorado and this year we had an excess that I would be willing to sell. According to our partner in the farm, who happens to be a phd. plant biologist, the mile high elevation and dry climate forces the herbs to produce more aromatics. Whatever the case, these herbs are meticulously grown and taste and look SPECTACULAR! Our Grande Wormwood plot was established 6 years ago and I could spare about 100lbs (stripped weight) annually. This Grande Wormwood is super aromatic and almost sweet- not the bitter harsh stuff you sometimes get from France (sorry France, blame it on climate change). Our Lemon balm has come in strong too, I have a few lbs to spare and I will have excess next year. If you are sick of the typical minced brown lemon balm you get from bulk suppliers you will be blown away by this vivid green full leaf herb the way it was meant to be harvested. Petite and hyssop are taking a little longer to get established but as long as they keep doing well I should have excess of those by harvest season. These herbs have all been grown organically (we just don't have the cert yet). Private message me if you are interested- I feel bad stock piling all these amazing herbs!
  7. Here at Sugar Hill Organic Grain Company we are having our end of year Organic Grain sale so if you have been holding off on buying some organic grain now is the time to buy. We are selling our Yadkin white wheat at $.40 per pound bagged in 50lbs bags for $20 per bag and our Organic Blue River Corn at $.35 per pound bagged in 50lbs bags for $17.50 per bag. You won't find cleaned food grade organic grains at any cheaper prices probably anywhere in the country right now. This sale will last till January 9th and supplies are limited so act fast so that we can make sure you get the grain you have been wanting all year. Prices like this only happen once per year and may never be this low again with the demand for organic grain outpacing the farmers who are now growing it. The organic market is growing fast and we also have options for distilleries wanting to start using organic grains to lock in prices thru contracts for the entire year so that you will always know what your grain prices will be and won't fluctuate with the market. We are here to help distillers produce the best spirits possible by providing you with the highest quality grains available anywhere. Also when you deal with us you know that the grain you are using is coming from family owned farms and all the certificates for the grain you purchase are available anytime you need them so that you can always be sure your getting 100% certified organic grains. http://www.sugarhillgrain.com
