FACCIABRUTTOSPIRITS
Hey all, I am moving my distillery in the next few months and need advice on how best to do it, if the moving company needs to have bonded trucks or special insurance to move alcohol, barrels, etc, and if anyone has experience doing this. Thanks!

FACCIABRUTTOSPIRITS
Hey! Within Brooklyn, about a mile away. Same company, same license. Just need to know what kind of trucking I should look for. Thanks!!

Foreshot
CaptnKB just helped with our move. Super easy & we recommend him. For wood barrels you don't need anything special for moving as they are not considered hazardous (weirdly). Plastic/metal barrels/totes are. You'll need someone that is able to handle that type of load. It's pretty common for a carrier to have the ability to transport them. They do not need to be bonded. Glad to see you're doing well. I've been following you on Reddit/Amaro. I haven't had a chance to try your amari. Next time we visit family on Long Island I'll get some.

GBDistillers
@captnKB I will be emailing you soon, I'm planning to move my distillery 6 miles from my existing location. I'm purchasing a larger location but I want to use my existing location for storage.

No need to set up TIBs. It's weird quirk in the rules.

satyam
If you haven't done so already, reaching out to other distillery owners who’ve gone through similar moves could provide valuable insights and recommendations. Good luck with your distillery move!
pmrobinette
For such a specialized move, you definitely need a moving company that has experience with bonded transport and special insurance to cover alcohol and equipment. You can find here expected costs for moving. It will help you budget accordingly and avoid any surprises.
