G'day from the land of Oz

G'day everyone, my name is Sam and I am the owner and distiller at Sunny Hill Distillery located on our farm just outside the small town of Arthurton on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia.

We have been operating our commercial distillery for 3.5 years now and our product line keeps increasing.

Our first product was a 100% wheat vodka with the soft wheat being grown on our farm then mashed, fermented, distilled, reduced and bottled entirely on site.

This is then used as the base for out two gins (dry and pink) and three liqueurs (Coffee, Chocolate and Limoncello).

We released our first single cask batch of single malt whisky last year. The barley is grown on our farm before being taken to a very small scale local maltster then returned to the farm to be mashed, fermented, distilled, aged then bottled on site.

Our first Rum has just been released as well with our first Brandy coming online later this year.

Looking forward to joining in some conversations and continuing the endless pursuit of knowledge.

Thank you Peter, it was great to meet you at the recent conference in Melbourne.

I will be sure to come and visit you when I make it to Tassie one day.
