Christian
Food fermentation expert Sandor Katz makes a batch of compost tea for the organic corn crop. Here is a post on how we are working to integrate future grain product from the distillery into the adjacent 300 acre working farm. I would love to read about ways you are integrating your products into sustainable permaculture or agricultural processes of any stripe.
Jonathan Forester
In the future I'll have more to say. But my new distillery I'm building in NY State is on a 440 acre farm. The farm hasn't EVER seen pesticide, herbicide, etc. and has only had manure and liquid manure as fertilizer in it's history, going back hundreds of years. cascadepeak
HI Christian, Jonathan, just wanted to introduce ourselves. We are out in Oregon and are one of the few certified Organic Distilleries in the U.S. It is good to see there are some others out there that see it is important to not use raw products that are contaminated by chemicals. OUr organic Rye is grown by Pacific Botanicals another organic company, also certified by Oregon Tilth. In good spirits!
