Head Distiller & GM for new craft distillery in Miami, Florida

Recommended Posts

Greetings Distilling Community!

We’re looking for someone to handle the day-to-day operations of our small distillery in Miami.

We’ll open around Jan 1, 2025 and located in the southern part of Miami, surrounded by some of Florida’s wealthiest neighborhoods. We have a 500L Holstein with fermenters and the space to run multiple shifts a day. We've received all approvals to begin construction. We have roughly 3,000 sq. ft of distillery / tasting room space and an additional 1,500 warehouse space in the next bay. We are most excited about the 1,500 sq. feet of outdoor space out back.

The distillery was originally a back-up plan to produce Zyr “zeer” vodka, a brand we crafted in Russia for 20+ years. Thankfully, we found Black Band Distillery in Peoria, which has been making Zyr perfectly, so this distillery isn’t needed for our core brand anymore. So we aim to experiment with the many ideas we have and incubate some brands and expose and educate South Floridians to our passion and industry.

You’d be joining a team with extensive experience on the distribution, sales, branding and marketing side of the business, but you’d be the lead for distilling and production, running the tasting room, handling events and more. You would have a seat at our small table and we encourage ideas and innovation. Having written that, we’re told we won’t be producing anything resembling gummy bears or sugary cereal.

Do you have great distilling and operations management experience, a strong work ethic and ambition? Do you work well independently and love the excitement of a start-up? Do you want lots of room to grow? If so, we'd love to hear from you at info@zyrvodka.com.

If you need help with getting someone to be trained to perform your operations be sure to reach out. We do training trips to help train in everything from mashing to blending and all processes in-between.
