RyeWater Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Hey everyone! Just curious how many of you are using cartridge filters to filter your spirits like we do. I'm particularly interested in what size filters you're using and how much you're paying for them. For us, we use 30-inch filters in 0.45, 1, 2, and 5 micron sizes, along with carbon blocks. They run us about $75 each, which feels pretty steep, but it's the best quality for price I've been able to find so far. Would love to hear what works for you
Kindred Spirits Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Are they just standard filters? or are they the carbon filters? I believe most of the standard filters are cleanable and reusable. how often are you switching yours out? For carbon blocks, I have most of my clients running granulated bulk carbon, its about $180 a bag and they get thousands of gallons of product filtered per bag. The added bonus is that this gets them a lot more contact time with the carbon which is great especially for vodkas.
