Finger Lakes Distilling looking for Assistant Distiller

Finger Lakes Distilling is currently in need of an Assistant Distiller to work at our facility in Burdett, NY (just north of Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake). We are seeking a highly motivated, mechanically-minded individual to help with the production of our diverse line-up of spirits. The Assistant Distiller will be involved in all aspects of production (processing, mashing, fermentation, distilling, barreling, filtering, etc) under the guidance of our Master Distiller. Must be willing to work some non-traditional hours to help us extend our production schedules beyond 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records that are necessary for government filings, including production logs and regular physical inventories. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time are critical to the success of these job duties.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience in distilling/brewing/winemaking

Ability to work with spreadsheets, create and maintain accurate records

Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills

Occasional travel for trade events, tastings, presentations
